This is a heavy duty nozzle and will last for years. Very well made. It can produce a reasonably powerful spray with standard house pressure. It would be really good for washing vehicles.
The downside for me is the low pressure spray for plant watering. It still has a lot of force at it lowest spray point which might work for some users, but it really wasn't what I had hoped for.

Wasn't sure what to expect. I've been through about 5 sprayers the past couple of years, just don't hold up, start out great, and fail in all manners...received this DRADCO unit and I am very impressed. It's built heavy enough th literally take a bullet. Solid machined brass, (and I believe there are some stainless steel parts), the rubber "grips" are very thick and durable.
I was also impressed with the adjustability of the stream, it has an infinite adjustability, by twisting the rubber guards. Starts out with a condensed stream that is very tunable and progresses to the widest misting fan spray.
Best sprayer I've seen yet, can't imagine how I can break this one!

This is a great hose nozzle. There are many things to love about it. It seems to be very well made, it is easy to operate, and it is a veteran owned company. As a veteran myself, I try to support other veterans when possible. I am reasonably certain that I won't have to replace this nozzle in my lifetime, unless my wife steals it from me.

If possible, I would only deduct half of a star, taking the rating to 4.5. This nozzle has the same flaw as most of the others in this category, you have to shut the water off at the high pressure setting. If the threads were reversed, you could shut off (or start) the water flow at the low pressure setting and increase it from that point. It would then help me to use less water when using it. I know that this is a minor flaw, and I knew this when I purchased it. It just keeps me from giving it five stars.

It is rare these days to find a product that is not manufactured to fail. This is one of the products that you will, probably, only have to purchase once.

I purchased this item purely for washing my cars. The infinite number of ways you can adjust the intensity of the water flow are numerous. In that regard it's perfect. Also the fact that it is housed by a durable rubber sheath is important. Typically I drop the hose to the ground between washing and rinse cycles. That was the demise of other spray units. This one looks like it will last a long time!

Ten years ago I built a state of the art dog kennel with extensive indoor/outdoor plumbing, so that I would never have to pick up dog poop manually. I have 90 pounds of pressure coming in from the street to my kennel and I have water hydrants throughout the facility. I needed to have a hose nozzle that that was able to move a lot of water at least 16 feet, to get the dog waste from the kennel runs into the drainage troughs. Over the years I must have tried at least 12 different brands/models of fireman style hose nozzles. For the past four years, I had been using the Underhill NG450 as it was able to move a lot of water a good distance, but the nozzles only seemed to last between 3 and 4 months, if used extensively. What would happen is that the rubber assembly would move back on the shaft and the ability to twist the rubber assembly to turn it on and off would stop. I would have to use channel locks and a hammer to move it back into place, so that it could work. Needless to say, it drove me crazy. The Dradco Brass Fireman Style Hose Nozzle performs as well and appears to be better built. I purchased one of these to try it out and today I just purchased five more. I love this hose nozzle and highly recommend it. Purchased this nozzle to replace a competitor's product that appears to be quite similar, yet failed on me after just a couple of years (see attached photos - with this nozzle being on the left and the competitor's product on the right).

Comparing the two side-by-side, the difference is like day and night. This nozzle is significantly heavier than the competitor's product, primarily because it's made from heavy duty brass instead of the cheap anodized aluminum used by the competitor. Very high quality nozzle - far superior to the one I'm replacing.

On closer inspection, it's easy to see why the competitor's product failed - the internals are all plastic. This one? The internals are all metal. No brainer folks.

I really like this style garden hose nozzle; I have purchased several through the years (Craftsman sells at a higher price). It is well-balanced; easily shuts off completely (doesn't drip!), and you have your choice of spray patterns, from concentrated to bubbling.

There is the same style but in aluminum; I prefer stainless steel or brass (this one) over aluminum. The heavier metals just feel like they will last forever (although the aluminum ones I own haven't failed).
