    I'm a runner who needs support and I've been using these line of NB for years. My only problem is that the toe wears out rather quickly — even within 30 miles or so I could start to see the orange rubber wearing away completely showing white underneath. I put a lot of pressure on my toe, which means I'll probably go completely through well before an expected length for a running shoe. Just wish it was a little thicker in the toe, that's all.

    I bought these through Amazon's warehouse deals (open box/used) and got them for about one-third of the usual price. They look great and like most New Balance shoes they feel great. I always buy a 10.5 D in athletic shoes (a half size larger than dress shoes or boots) and these fit exactly as I expected.

    We have some trouble finding my husband a shoe that is comfortable and fits well. These shoes are very well built, and the fit is just right. We get so many compliments on the shoes and he constantly works out in these because they are just so comfortable!

    Fits tight around the front outside of foot. Not sure why, maybe its just this pair. I've been wearing New Balance running shoes for about 20 years now, so I tend to know my exact shoe needed. With a higher arch, usually my go to's are the 770, 780, 1080. But this one is a bit tight, which does make it slightly uncomfortable.right from the start when putting on.

    Run small despite other comments....replaced a 770v2 and this was at least one half size smaller and narrower in width....not only in on foot feel but by the tape measure. I wear a 4E and this 4E is at best a 2E...please try these on before you buy your current size.

    Not sure if this was an error on New Balance or Amazon's side, but the New Balance box said 9EE while the actually shoes were 8.5 D. I can understand putting the wrong width in a box, but the wrong size and width?! There's clearly a lack of QC on both companies' parts. To any others who felt the shoes were running small or narrow, I wonder if the actual shoes were even the right size?? I just happened to read the label on the tongue of the shoes after trying them on and feeling that they were too narrow for me. I'll update my review if Amazon can actually send me the correct pair.

    The shoes are a bit narrow, but with thin running socks they seem comfortable enough. I would not recommend the shoes if you wear regular cotton socks.
