Hello M. St Louis, we agree with you that a stainless steel for the body of the bowl itself would be a good option to have; however building it of steel is a much higher expense than plastic. This is a new product and we plan to add more options (such as steel) in the future as the demand grows. One possible caveat of a stainless steel bowl is that it will incubate more light and heat - potentially growing more algae and warm the water too much. Still, we recognize our customers will use the product in many ways and a stainless steel offering may be better fitted for certain uses.
