    I got these for my six year old, who usually wears a 13, but has really wide and thick feet (think Hobbit, without the toe-hair). These fit his feet fantastically, and he's really excited to wear them all the time because they look really cool. He loves the red, and it's not super bright, so they are also appropriate for other functions besides school. These have a fairly slick and non-grippy bottom sole, so not ideal for running around on grass (soccer), but not bad either. These also have nice arch support for growing feet!

    We use these with orthotics and I love the wide base, how easy they are to open up and get a stiff toddler foot in. They look super-cool on, tons of compliments, and my child digs them as well. My only complaint is that they are a bit stiff in the back and caused a few blisters when my child wore them without his AFOs and sole inserts instead. To be fair, they are half a size big (to fit the AFOs) so his feet may move a bit more than a tighter fit.

    This is our 3rd pair of Coronados. I notice they are a little more flexible as the sizes get bigger, due to the sturdy design. Good for running around outside, and easy to clean. Water resistant, but not water tight, because it can still get into the gap by the tongue with too much mud puddle stomping. :) I like that they are canvas shoes, waterproofed with rubber instead of nasty chemicals.
