They fit true to size and she plays rough and shoes are keeping up so far, definitely will buy a second pair.
They fit perfectly, they are easy to match with 90% of their outfits and they've held up so well.
I'm happy to say that these fit the bill for all of the above, and my daughter LOVES the penguins.

Let me preface this by saying that I think Keens are great shoes. They are very sturdy, and hold up to lots of kid abuse. Our older son had a pair of Keens that he wore every day when he was a toddler and the soles of the shoes still looked brand new when he finally outgrew them. The KEEN Coronado Print shoes are very cute, and they have the same sturdy sole and shoe bed as other Keens. They are canvas, so they do get wet easily, but they also clean up easily, which is great. One minor draw back is that the tongue is also canvas and rather thin. I know this probably helps with comfort, but it also means that the tongue inevitably scrunches down into the shoe when you are trying to jam it on a toddler foot that is upside down/squirming etc. Kind of annoying to have to go digging around in the shoe to pull the tongue bag out.

I discovered a much bigger problem this morning though. As I was going to jam these shoes on said toddler foot, I happened to put my finger inside and felt something extremely sharp. Turned out that there was a metal gromit type attachment on one side of one shoe where the strap comes through that had somehow gotten bent up and was very sharp (pictures below). I am 95% positive I would have hurt my toddler had I not noticed this and put the shoe on her. I was able to press it back down into place with the end of a screwdriver, but this made me really wary and I thought it would be good to pass along. I have no idea how it got bent in the first place. There is metal underneath it, so it seems to just be an additional piece of metal to reinforce the whole, but it does have an edge at the bottom that can easily be bent up. Pictures are attached with the unbent side and the bent side.

So, all in all, I think Keens are great shoes and can definitely hold up to a lot of toddler/kid abuse. However, this seems like a big design flaw to me-- especially on a kid shoe. I would not probably not purchase this variety again.

I thought after all the reviews about the sharks peeling off, that Keen certainly would have addressed this by now. So, I took my chances and ordered the shoes. I do love the big toe on them that keep the shoes looking good, but I will say most of the other reviews are right... the tongue is very flimsy and gets pushed down in the shoe when my 3-year-old puts them on and yes, the sharks were peeling off the sides the first day he wore them - lame!

Also, in case your wondering, I printed the Keen measuring tool off their website and my son measured exactly an 11. So I went round and round on whether to order a size bigger. - Don't. I ordered an 11 for him and they already have the extra toe space built in.

I spent a lot of time researching shoes before I purchased these. I myself have been arches and wanted to help prevent my son, with similar feet, from the same issue. The arch support in these shoes are great. They are sturdy, we'll put together and protect the toes. These shoes are worth every penny. They are a touch on the wider side. I like it because the kids can wear thicker socks if it's cold and have plenty of room but they sent so big that they slip right out of them. I would recomend these shoes to anyone.

The fabric is SO cute and the rubber-reinforced toes do help prevent wear. However, the tongue is short and made of single-layer canvas. It gets shoved into the shoe as the foot is inserted. Tongue needs to be longer and easier for a helper or kid to lift out of the way as foot slides in. The fake shoelace design really interferes with the function of the shoe. My kid is actively helping to get the shoes on (it means we are going OUTSIDE) but the mouth of the shoe doesn't open up very wide to make putting it on easy.

I love Keen shoes. I have 3 kids and they wear the sandals, sneakers and hiking boots all year round. They are very supportive - one of my boys has wide feet and Keens are great for him, and my daughter has feet that turn in and Keens are great for her too. However, these shoes in particular are too big, I would say a whole size too big. Looking back on the purchase, I think the difference is that in the past I have ordered "Infant/Toddler" and these shoes are "Toddler/Little Kid" sizing. If that isn't what went wrong with this purchase then they are just simply sized different than the rest of their shoes! I love them regardless, and luckily the kids will grow into them.

My granddaughter has a wide foot and a passionate need for comfort. Keen's are the only shoe that we have ever found that consistently fills the bill. These are super cute, very well made and fit her width. We were a bit surprised that they are too long for her. I purchased the Newport sandal for her at the same time and those fit exactly right so I'm not sure what the problem is. We will keep these and let her grow into them, they are great shoes and she loves them. The colors are bright, the fabric very durable, the sole well made. Lightweight and very practical, Keen's are a brand we will come back to again and again.

Great toddler shoes and terrific design. Although they are a tad bit big. My 2 year old currently wears a size 8 and I ordered a size 9 thinking he would have room to grow. Seems a little roomer than expected. They are too cute to return so I put them away for later.
