    Looks fine and quality seems solid. Haven't wear it yet and can't tell whether it is comfortable or it lasts or not. In terms of sizing, I wear size 8 for sneakers, 7.5D for almost all American Brands dress shoes, I ordered a size 7.5D as my last pair of earthkeeper boot and it fits just similar with the earthkeeper. One suggestion is if you would like to wear it with thick socks in winter, consider to order wider size. The one star knocked off is because that the upper leather has a "plastic" look which I have no idea whether it is becasue of the need of making it Weather Proof or just the nature of the leather kind. Overall a good buy at the discounted price durinng Xmas sale.

    To be clear: this is great looking boot with great traction—the best looking and functional boot I've seen.
    As far as SIZING, I have a pair of Timberland Earthkeepers in a size 9 but these boots RUN LARGER than other TIM'S. Order a half size smaller. The difference is definitely noticeable. These are also noticeably more narrow and have a stiffer upper than Earthkeepers.

    This is my 5th pair of Tim's and they exceed the predecessor in comfort by miles. The factory insole is very comfortable. In times past, I had to add an after market insole for comfort. I receive compliments every time I wear them.

    Was a bit concerned that the suede on the upper part of the boot would get wet and stained, but seems that it's got a water resistant coating--as does the lower leather. Walked in these boots in fairly deep--and slushy--puddles and not a drop of water came through. Which brings me to the fact that they are as warm as some thinsulate boots I've had, thanks to the inner waterproofing membrane.
    As for the size, they are sized more like a shoe than a boot; if you intend to wear thick socks, go a size up.

    Whatever size you are in shoes, NOT SNEAKERS, order this boot a half size larger. I am a size 9 in shoes and had to order a 9.5. I tried them on in a Timberland store so I should know. These boots do have a narrow fit, so if your feet are wide, don't bother unless they come in wide.
