I was already to love this shoe. I was so disappointed!! I have wore Keen shoes for years. They were always made well and had great support. The soul of this shoe is so thin. You can feel the ground. I like Keen for the rugged souls they have.....you can walk in the city or out on the trail. But not with these. Plus they did run big. I wish Keen would get back to making shoes like they used to.

Not as good as I'd hoped

For an expensive shoe, I expected more.

There are positives to this shoe, which is why I kept it. They are cute, and they are nice and wide (perfect for my wide feet), and plus, I love suede. The shoe is well made, seems relatively durable, and the padding around the opening of the shoe and tongue are nice and soft.

I was dissapointed with the footbed, however. The insoles were VERY thin. Keen is supposedly known for giving great support, but not so with this shoe. I found the shoe was rather hard with the original insole and my toes rubbed and felt a little raw on the bottom. This was an easy fix as I simply replaced the insole with my own orthotics, and they are now fine to walk in and feel comfortable.
The rubber sole could also be a little thicker. I tend to wear through shoe soles pretty easily and the rubber on these soles seems rather thin. I am hoping they last.

But, back to the insoles.... A good pair of orthotics START around $10+ and can easily be $20-$40 for ones you buy in the store. This shoe sells at full price for $110, and is reduced to around $80 depending on the size here on Amazon. It's a shame that Keen didn't put in a better insole. For that price, they really should be putting in quality insoles if they are selling the shoe at a quality shoe price. Having to buy a good insole increases the total cost of the shoe to around $130. This is NOT a $130 shoe. Not by a long shot.

While I think the shoe itself is good, cute, and relatively well-made, it's overpriced because of the things it is lacking - a good insole, and thicker rubber sole.

Excellent, comfortable, well-constructed shoes

I have a fondness for Keen shoes. They are a little wider than usual in the ball of the foot, but then so are my feet, so they are about as perfect a fit as I have ever found. In their summer sneaker style shoes, I do better ordering a size 9 than a size 8.5 (my usual size), but the new Amazon 3-D fit app recommended the size 8.5, and it was right. I can wear these with medium to thick socks with no problems. I bought the grey color, and it is very nice, and it looks excellent with jeans. The shoes came with both cream and matching grey laces, and I thought I would like the grey, but the cream contrast looked better to me when I compared them.

The shoes are very comfortable, I wear them all day at a job with a lot of walking around and standing at a counter (I'm a research scientist). Highest recommendation.

Good shoe, but not for my feet

Good shoe, but not for my feet. Inside seam rubbed on my little toes - no good. Returned and bought Keen Presidio instead - now I'm walking on clouds! - I love Keen shoes, they fit my wide feet. Just a note. With Keens I wear a full size bigger in women's.

Comfortable Supportive Shoe

I searched for shoes for two months...I guess I'm picky! Finally found these and my feet feel comfortable and supported. Keen's are great because I can remove the insoles, replacing them with my orthodics. This style has a deep enough bed to hold my foot. I've had them on for five hours straight, and so far, so good.

Not typical Keens...

(wife) Not the good Keen quality - use same size as your sandals. My H2s are 8, got these in 8.5 and the heel came off, causing me pain and redness within minutes. They were overall very wide incl mid foot, maybe it's the suede vs solid leather in the e.g.Briggs.
Didn't get them in a smaller size since they didn't appear solid and sturdy as other Keen shoes. Lovely red color, however.

The arch support is good (I tend to have problems with that)

I have had these shoes for a year now, and have worn them I would calculate three days at least out of every seven. Some weeks I wear them everyday. They are the shoes I wear in lab, so I am standing in them on concrete floors all day long. My feet never get sore or tired in them. The arch support is good (I tend to have problems with that). They are light enough that I feel they are attractive and not clunky for wearing casually around campus, but sturdy enough for walking in. Even after a year of heavy use, the shoes still appear fresh and clean, and have not worn out. The only possible con is that the laces have recently started to come untied often, but this is easily remedied by double-knotting.

I like these shoes so much that I am on the watch for the price to go down so I can buy another pair to have in reserve. Would recommend these to anyone. I usually wear between a 7 and an 8, and these shoes fit perfectly at my most common size of 7.5.

Nice ish shoe still going back no arch support.

These are nice shoes but not cushioned enough for me. The top rubbed on my foot and kind of hurt. There isn't much arch support so I'm disappointed in that because I had heard Keen was good for people with foot problems. I have plantar fasciitis and a heel spur. These would be no good for my feet. I will be returning them since I didn't wear them just tried them on.

If you don't have foot problems they might be fine and the rubber outsole seems sturdy. Another thing I didn't like was right on the seam of the rubber and the shoe it looks messy and unfinished to me. Definitely not $120 worthy. I only paid $33 and they are still going back.

Black ones are really gray, not black

Very comfortable shoes. Love the wide foot box of these Keens. Would have rated 5 stars, but color said it was black, but they are really more a charcoal gray.

Great shoe!

I believe this is the most comfortable lace up out there. Low profile for those of us whole don't have the highest arches and roomy in the toe do you can wear them all day.
