I would have given this scoop 5 stars if the label on it had been the easily removable kind!
I had a terrible time getting the label off and the adhesive is still visible on the scoop.Bummer!!
Why don't you go to the easily removable stickers that leave no trace of adhesive behind!

If you have an ice cube tray which is permanently full of ice in the freezer, this is a perfect scoop to go with it. The plastic is strong, and will survive drops onto the floor as well as the chill of the fridge itself.

Obviously, a metal one would not be something you'd like to grab onto after a few hours at 0 degrees, which leaves these poly units.

It's a tad spendy, but it doesn't seem like something that's going to wear out. Mine's good as new after six months in the chiller.

I replaced a metal scoop with this plastic scoop. 1. It stays in place a lot better propped up in the corner of the ice bin keeps the handle out of the ice, 2. It is more comfortable to handle because it doesn't get so cold which is a good thing when filling an ice bucket. 3. I won't discolor.
I'm not sure how long it will last before it loses its serviceability but so far I'm very happy with the change.

Strong enough that I can break my ice apart. Narrow enough to easily scoop into glasses. Use it for my in-freezer ice dispenser.

Perfect size, easy to fill a glass with ice. Had a sticker on top which was not easy to remove, and I had to use a paint thinner to remove the traces of the adhesive used to place the sticker on the scoop. Other than that , I am very happy with my purchase.

You should be aware that there's an issue with the glue that was used to adhere the label to the underside of this scoop.

I was able to peel the paper label off using my nails and fingers. However, there is a residue of glue that is left on the scoop and no amount of using Bona Ami cleanser and Dishmate soap mixed together into a paste will get this glue off. Hence,there's still a tacky layer left on the ice scoop.

In which, if you suffer from multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) just be aware that a tacky residue of glue remains on the scoop.

On the other hand, if you can live with the underside of this scoop in a small area about ½ and inch by ½ an inch will remain sticky then buy this scoop.

This polycarbonate scoop has a nice light blue sheen to it and the feel of it is sturdy along with it effortlessly scoops and pours ice. This ice scoop by far the best ice scoop I have ever used or seen.

I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately I was not able to remove the label off the bottom of the scoop, which makes it look yucky. I don't understand why they would use this type of glue on something acrylic. The glue stain is there for life but overall the scoop is of good quality and the tip of it is small enough to insert into most large and small cups. It's the perfect size! I would recommend purchasing, just know that stupid label will not remove easily
