Defective pair, or a sign of the beginning of the end for quality Keen boots?

First of all, these boots are quite comfortable, have excellent traction in snow/ice/slush, and are nice and toasty warm (but not too warm to wear at work all day, provided you have good socks on). HOWEVER, after just a couple of weeks of very light wear the sole on my right boot began to separate right at the toe. This was very surprising to me as I have been buying Keens for years now and have never had a pair that suffered from a material defect like this. I sincerely hope that this defect does not affect ALL of boots of this style, because I am planning to exchange my pair for another. Also very hopeful that Keen is not going the way of many of my favorite brands and attempting to cut costs by manufacturing products with inferior materials. I'll give them another chance, but if this is the quality of product they are selling from here on out they've lost me as a customer.

Comfort AND Style!

These boots are amazingly comfortable and super cute to boot (no pun intended ;). My feet straddle the line between sizes 8.5 and 9 (depending on the shoe), so I ordered a size 9 to be safe. The boots fit perfectly with a thick pair of socks but are slightly large (and by "large" I mean kind of wide) if I'm wearing thin socks. I probably could have used an 8.5 but was so exited to receive the boots that I wore them straight away. This morning the weather was heavy rain and cold autumn temps, and these boots performed perfectly - waterproof, warm and deliciously comfy. Another plus was that I received several compliments on how cool they looked (I ordered the Forest Green pair - very versatile and stylish, yet totally functional). ENJOY these amazing boots :)

They are fine, cute

They are fine, cute, but impossible to dress up. Ankle is super warm, foot is not super well insulated. Appear to be waterproof. Wish they had better traction. Overall I am satisfied, but not impressed with these shoes.

Best Winter Boots

I needed a good pair of waterproof winter boots that wouldn't break the bank, and these seemed like the ticket. I LOVE them! When I first put them on I thought I was going to have pressure points, but they get more comfortable throughout the day. They're a bit big to accommodate larger socks, but I ordered my usual 8 and one pair of thicker socks fill them out perfectly, so sizing down might not be necessary. While they're definitely not a "fashion" boot, they look cute with leggings, jeggings, and even looser pants. They're super warm without making my foot sweat, and are definitely waterproof. These boots rocks, and coming from Keen, you know they'll last.

Snowpocalypse Approved

I feel like I put these boots to the ultimate test this weekend during our latest #Snowpocalypse on the East Coast. These cuties flawlessly braved snow, sleet and refrozen ice patches. They provided great traction while keeping my feet warm and toasty, and I got a lot of compliments on them.

These boots seem a little wide at first, but I honestly feel like the width helped me keep my footing better than a narrower sole would. The only thing I feel that these boots are lacking is sufficient arch support, but they're still super comfy. I would absolutely recommend these.

I like their styling and they've been taking care of that transition period when I don't need giant snow boots, but my other boots aren't the best fit for the weather, either. They are reasonably comfortable. Sizing is large, but the laces are sufficient to keep the boot comfortable enough to run in them. The extra room also allows thicker socks, which I need, because the boots aren't terribly cushy or warm; they're kind of like rain boots.
