Best boots I've ever owned. These boots lasted me 6 months, it may not sound like much but I'm on my feet for 8 hrs a day running 3-5 miles operating a garbage route. Normally Danner boots last me 3 months max and the tred is completely gone. These Keen boots are well worth it. I got about 1-2 months left on the bottom tred of the boot until I need a new pair.

More stout than the Marshall Mid WP, but not a full on hiker. Suitable for slushy city streets & moderate woody hiking. The shoe is very comfortable, and fits as expected. If you have a slightly wider foot like me, this is a shoe you'll appreciate. Not a warm weather boot, mind you.

Some breaking in time is required and they arent as wide in the forefoot as i expected, but they seem well made and durable and they get more comfortable the more I wear them. Overall good shoe so far.

Boot fits nicely other than being slightly narrow in the toe. I've been tramping around in the snow quite a bit and also stood for a good while in water to test the waterproofing which is excellent. The boot looks and feels great. We'll see how it holds up.

I ordered these boots as an everyday pair for the winter. I normally wear a 15 in all shoes and sometimes 16 in Nike and have no chance if wearing a 14. Well, the 15s I received were quite large and I had to return/reorder for a size 14. This is the first time I have been able to wear a 14 in a decade so plan on the larger sizes to be larger than normal. Otherwise it is a good looking boot and very comfortable. Have not tested the waterproofness yet.

I ended up buying these when I couldn't find the Marshall Mids in my size. Out of the box they are comfortable for walking around in. Like other Keens I have had, the uppers do feel like they will need to break in a little. As for the appearance, they are probably the best looking Keens I have seen. They are a little less busy looking and a lower profile look to them. In hand, I can't tell any noticeable difference in weight than some waterproof New Balance shoes that I had previously been using for hiking and trail running.

As for any negatives, I'm not crazy about the shiny top eyelet. It looks out of place on this shoe. Also, the tongue strangely seems a little too short. I don't always use the top eyelets, but the laces are on the longer side so I will lace them all the way up until I pick up some shorter laces. When I tie them, the laces will be across the tongue, but after walking around some (the short time I have had these shoes) the top laces end up above the tongue. This could be a major deal killer if you like to lace them all the way up, especially laced tightly.

Overall I like the shoes as new, and hope to test them on the trails soon, but I feel like I have to knock a star off for the short tongue / high eyelet issue. Pictured is a comparison shot of them with my Detroit Mid work boots.

If you have worn Keen shoes before, the fit of the Saltzman is as expected. I choose not to lace the last lug so it does not rub my ankle. The Keen Dry does not breathe as well as non-waterproof materials, but should be fine in temperate or winter settings. Grip of the sole seems great, but remains to be tested under slippery or icy conditions. Have yet to try with orthotics.

Very comfortable boot and great for those looking for a wider boot. I usually fit into regular width shoes just fine around town but if I'm out hiking all day I start feeling the pinch, since my feet are slightly wide. This is a great fit in the normal size and the top is flexible like an athletic shoe but rugged in the soles and ankle support. I plan to wear these on the trail and around town in the winter, pairs well with jeans for being a hiking boot (I ordered the black color). Didn't find much arch support but that's not much of a priority feature for me, the width and boot flexibility is crucial
