I just received the boots and tried them on in the house and they are comfortable. I usually wear a size 8-1/2 shoes and have wider feet so I usually order a 9 in boots and the 9 fits perfect. I just had to loosen the laces at the foot. They have good support and I love the way they look --- very posh! This is a great deal, too, compared to the price on Hi-Tec's site. Plus these qualified for a promotional discount from Amazon (Veteran's day code), so I'm very happy. I did a lot of shopping on line and in my local department stores and shoe stores before I decided on this purchase. First of all, white is very hard to come by, and when I did find white in just one store, they were cute, but not waterproof. Other white boots were either way more expensive, or just fashionable 'fake' snow boots. These HiTec boots are cute AND waterproof... and feel very cushy and comfy. When you walk you don't feel clunky -- stepping onto the heel feels very natural and they molded them so that your footstep kinda rolls naturally off your toe. Also, they are lite -- not heavy at all which also makes them feel not clunky. I will update this review after wearing them out and about and in wet weather, but because of the Hi-Tec name I have no doubts that they will truly be water-proof and warm.

For the price, the boots are a great buy. I wore them all afternoon while shoveling snow in 10 degree weather and standing on ice and they met all my expectations. They are true to size and I wear a regular (not wide) size 11 women's shoe and these boots fit exactly like the rest of my size 10 1/2- 11 shoes/boots. I'm able to wear either a thin pair of socks or thick ones and still have room so my toes don't feel cramped. They kept my feet dry and warm which was amazing because that's hard to come by these days because my feet are always cold no matter what. The bottom of the boots provide a great grip tread so you don't slide around in the snow and the ties help to provide a good fit around your feet and ankles so no snow gets in. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone!

Love these boots

Love these boots. They passed the brutally cold vs mushy icy water Chicago winter test. Feet were dry and warm. They are a little heavy because the sole is solid but it's a small price to pay for warm dry feet in Chicago winters

Top Wide Open To Snow and Wind

I returned these boots.

The furry top is V shaped. The V points out like an arrow where the fabric is sewn together.
The top cannot be closed so you can see your socks when looking down. That is where the wind, and snow would pour in.

They fit perfectly!! Don't scrunch my toes till they cramp, very comfortable insole, and all that I like in my field( Law Enforcement) 3/4 (low cut/ HiTech "Midnight's")!! NOTE: you couldn't feel rocks when you walked in unpaved yards! I'm ready for a safe and comfortable winter!! I hope they stand up to the name I know from the work boots. Due to El Niño, it is said we should expect s snowy winter, much like the 2007 winter. I had snow to my thighs here in central NM!! I'm ready! Looks like the sole has plenty of tread to walk safely!! Will nite further once I use these bad boys!!

Great snow shoes!

Shoes are super nice and warm. This is my first shoes ever so I am very happy with it. Works great in snow. I did try wearing them when I thought it would rain, but I don't recommend wearing them all day. They are kind of stiff.
