Writing this review almost has me in tears...Tears of joy! Our dogs are our babies. My husband and I don't have children and our three dogs our definitely like family members. Last summer our oldest Bandit (a Lab/Chow mix, now 15 years old) had a stroke. We thought we were going to lose him, but he made a nearly 100% recovery after a few weeks. The only lasting effect seemed to be his eating got rather poor. Sometimes he would eat without having to be coaxed and other times it was quite a challenge to get him to eat if at all. We tried canned food mixed in with his dry food and grated "meat" dog food over the dry food, but he still wasn't interested. Obviously, we expect these types of things with an older dog but when he began losing weight we really became concerned. We also noticed a little bit of a disconnect with him. He's always been very social and we'd miss him and find him in another room by himself. He has terrible cataracts, his hearing isn't the best and his back end can be weak at times. My husband and I were both starting to think that our time with him was numbered. Then we saw a commercial for Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind. I immediately got online and did some research. I figured there was no harm in trying the food, so I placed an order immediately. Bandit has been on the food for a week now and miraculously we both see a difference in him. The first and most obvious difference in him is he is eating both breakfast and dinner immediately, without being talked in to it and every drop of it! DRY! Nothing added to it! Wonderful! I know it's only been a week, but his eyes are visibly clearer and he is more engaged and playful. His hips are not giving him as many problems either.Read more ›
