I was shopping for a smart scale that can tell weight, body fat, body water and etc., many of these are about or over 100 dollars which is more than the amount of money I wish to spend for a scale. I'm glad that I finally chose this one, at a much more competitive price, it does the job! You just need to download the app, sync the bluetooth and your readings on the scale will automatically sync with the profile you created inside the app. It can also be shared in MyFitnessPal! I love this.

This is a good scale if you want to sync it up to myfitnesspal! Just download the Taylor smartrac app and you have to weight yourself with shoes off and wait till it fully syncs Bluetooth. It automatically sync with you device but mak sure the scale is done reading you weight. Just remember iPad 3 or higher because it is Bluetooth 4.0 will not work With iPad 1 or 2 FYI.

I tried the Withings and the Mosiso, and both where aggravatingly off the mark on the measurements. Either too low or too high, primarily with the fat percentage. And the apps were so-so. The Mosiso's app was absolutely atrocious. This Taylor scale is by my previous trusted scale company, EatSmart, under this brand name. The app is so-so in design, but it does work smoothly with my iPhone over Bluetooth, which is the main thing. And YES it is very Apple HealthKit compatible. Works better (more quickly) with HealthKit than the apps for either Withings or Mosiso. I returned both the other ones, and am keeping this one.

Deep in the specifications it says that accuracy of this scale is +-0.989lb. It appears the scale is programmed to recall previous reading when current reading does not diverge much (weighted in first time, then second time while holding a book gave same result) which may make one feel it's accurate and/or consistent.

Bluetooth communication worked the first time I tried it, and every time after that. Follow instructions, and you will be fine. Backlight is a nice upgrade over previous model, the weight is very visible to my poor eyesight. As I use Bluetooth every time, the numbers are all perfectly visible on my phone, galaxy s4. Weight was identical to the healthometer in my doctor's office. I tried the same test of stepping off and on multiple times, and I get the exact same weight every time. Stay still until the scale runs the program, and transmits the numbers.

Negatives? I am still giving 5 stars, as the quality of the scale is fine, and it does what Taylor claims. However, the Smartrack app is the cheesiest attempt at programming you could imagine. Not buggy, but lacking in features to the point of embarrassing for the anonymous programmer. There is no hope of exporting the data, so you can write your own app, or assess trends. The ability to email is a pixel screen shot of just the screen you are observing; useless. The whole reason I went for the Bluetooth feature, was for the convenience of logging electronically. Now I end up retyping the numbers into my own tables for analysis. Also, for backup in case you replace your phone.

The 3 apps that smartrack integrates with, are equally useless, and only sync the weight number.

Let's hope the smartrack app is updated in the future.

The scale works functionally well as a scale, but do not buy it if you are interested in the bluetooth capability. The app seldom communicates with the scale, and it does not communicate with My Fitness Pal, despite it's claims.

I am using this to monitor my weight on my iPad. I can see the historical data of my weight, body fat%, body water%, and muscle%. When I eat too much or when I skip exercise, I can clearly see that my body is increasing the weight and far. Using this, the weight loss is like simple game to me, and I was able to lose my weight from 212 lbs to 185 lbs so far.

So far I am not a big fan, but that could change.

The day I got the package, I was super excited to use it. Followed the set up step by step, but had a lot of problems along the way.

The App for this scale is pretty garbage. Apparently the reviews for the App state the program is down a lot and there are a ton of bugs.... well I figure maybe I'll be lucky... nope. The app was stuck on the loading screen and I'm pretty sure an S6 can handle this app no problem. Instead of returning it right away, I figure I'll give it a few days and looks like the were getting so hammered with negative reviews they decided to fix it somewhat quickly.

Then getting the scale sync'd up with my phone was another fun time. It took about 6 or 7 tries with the phone sitting a few inches away from the scale to get it to sync up. Finally got it to sync up and then I thought I was done. Nope... It randomly unsynced itself from my device and had to do it all over again. Tried it again and this time it stuck (it's only been a 24hr period since then so we shall see).

You also need to have the App on your phone open for it to sync and on the main weight page, otherwise it won't record. Synced it up to myfitnesspal and then to my fitbit through myfitnesspal. It does not work well. I'm giving it maybe 2 more days before I make a decision on returning this. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SCALE TO SYNC UP WITH YOUR FITBIT, NOT WORTH THE TIME AND STRUGGLE.
