I don't eat corn on the cob. It never tastes like the corn I grew up on in the 50's. Even organic corn is tough now. But I was shopping at that big box store - you know.....the one with the yellow smiley face, and I saw these. They looked really nice. But I thought to myself, okay, how good could they be, their cheap first of all, and secondly....well...their vacuum packed. But at that price I said what the heck, I'll try it.

I took one out and microwaved it for the two minutes. Buttered it well, no salt. Bit in. Geez, I died and went to heaven. This is the most tender, sweet corn I have ever, ever eaten. Really. I could become addicted to them. They are non-gmo which is almost unheard of in the U.S. for corn that isn't organic. They are from Thailand. I don't care. I will continue to eat these often and joyfully.

The product I received did not meet my expectations for a tasty ear of corn. The kernels were soggy and maybe waterlogged - no crunch biting into the corn. The taste and crunch is inferior to canned corn. It doesn't remind me of fresh corn in any way. I'll stick with canned if I can't have fresh.
