This tree is one of the good ones! The platforms are large enough for adult cats to enjoy and it's nice and sturdy also. We bought this tree to help deal with my allergies. My cat had another tree that was all carpet, and while she loves it, it attracts hair.
The tree is fairly easy to put together, but it smells terrible for at least a week after you get it. Essentially your home will smell like a hamster cage. All the parts were in the package, but two of the holes were already stripped. This means that the tree is less sturdy than I would like.
After the smell subsided, my cat became more interested in the tree. I put treats on all the different levels and watched her figure out how to navigate it. She is not a very big cat (9 lbs) and doesn't fit super well in the cubby. I think it has to do with the actual size of the entrance and how there is a bottom ridge to the entrance that makes it harder to jump into.

This package arrived several days ago, but I was intimidated about the assembly so I let it sit for a few days. I decided to tackle it tonight since my husband is not home and will not try to "help" (interfere). I took all of the pieces out of the box and arranged them in the bathroom floor. It is crucial to close the door so that you do not receive feline assistance. Do not be swayed by the constant crying of the cats. They know that there is a party in the bathroom and they are missing out. At first, I was irritated because I felt like some of the holes had not been drilled all of the way through the base of the box and I thought some of the pieces were different than the drawings on the instructions. Here is a crucial piece of advice. WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO! Some kind soul has posted a video on how to assemble this product. The video saved my sanity. Do not hesitate to watch part of it, pause it while you do a little assembly, rewind and watch that part again, and go back to assemble some more. The hardest part is the "box". Once you have that completed, you are golden. After I finished and brought it out to the living room, the cats LOVED it. I sprayed the cushions with liquid catnip to encourage them to explore. Fat Cat did not fit in the box but I knew when I ordered that he would not. He is a handsome hunk of cat, but at 22 pounds he is pretty large (he is on obesity management food and lost 2 1/2 pounds last year so I hope the trend will continue for the next few years). There were a few skirmishes over territory (we have 3 cats) but I feel like each cat will have claimed his/her spot by the end of the week. I have attached a picture of Annabelle (Siamese mix) and Biscotti (Baby Kitty) exploring the kitty condo.

Like others here, I was searching for a modern cat tree that wasn't a hideous carpeted structure. Most of the ones I found online were nice but incredibly expensive. Then enter the Vesper cat series! This cat tree is moderately priced, easy to put together, well made and looks classy in your home. The carpeted areas can also be removed for cleaning. My cat is over 11 pounds and he can fit and play in all the areas, but prefers the top platform. I've had my unit for about a month now and my cat uses it daily and occasionally his bunny bro joins him. Plus, the snazzy red color matches his Bootsie bunk bed he's had for years.
**Hint: There's a youtube video that gives visual directions for assembly. I found it very helpful and didn't use the paper instructions at all.**

What a god-awful piece of crap! I started unpacking it. Realized it was busted (the top round parts had separated from their frames). Though, "Eh, I've got a pneumatic stapler, it's fixable." It's not. In addition to almost every panel being dinged, gouged or roughed up in some way, there are plastic inserts that the metal screw-studs screw into that were missing on mine (see pics).
We bought this because it looks like a really nice design. Unfortunately, it was the biggest piece of junk I've ever bought on Amazon. Packaging was bad (shredded Styrofoam everywhere), product was damaged, and even if those hadn't been show-stopeprs, the instructions are terrible (like, it makes Ikea look good--that terrible). Don't walk, run away from this piece of crap.
