The camera is nice takes good video and pics. I had problems with it charging and missing some peces there customer service is amazing one of the best I have ever felt with.They sent me a new battery and cable to fix my charging problem. I will definitely do business with them agean

First things first. No, this isn't a Gopro killer. It takes pretty good quality video, but the bitrate is noticeably lower than 1080P30 on a Gopro. That being said however, this camera performs admirably for the price point. I can replace this thing several times over for the cost of one of the real thing. I know this is a knockoff of a knockoff, so I was surprised at how decent it actually is.

The thing with most Chinese made electronics is that the same factory makes devices that are branded by a dozen or so different companies. There is little doubt in my mind that the Blusmart branded cameras are assembled in the same line that the SJCAM ones are. The logo is just stuck on lettering that came off rather easily and further supports the multiple brand idea.

Overall: For the quality of the images and videos, and the accessories provided, this camera is a pretty good deal. I plan on mounting it to my quadcopter for aerial photography and videography.

*Update 6/28/15 (Video uploaded to show quality of recordings, but amazon has butchered the video... search for this camera on YouTube and you'll find the HD video under my name.)*

This little camera is sill performing like a trooper. I've used it under water in our pool many times to get some neat video and pictures. The microphone is nearly useless when it is in the waterproof housing, but that is to be expected. Overall I'm still quite pleased with it.

I've been looking for a sports camera for a while to record in cricket nets but didn't think the GoPro Hero had enough functionality and the Black was too expensive. The Bluesmart SJ4000 is in the middle of the two but at an incredible half the price of the GoPro Hero. Is it worth the money - definitely, it is amazing how much camera you get, especially with all of the accessories.

As you can see in the video (uploaded in SD due to size constraints) you are getting a huge amount of value. The camera has a waterproof housing (claimed down to 30m) and clips for handlebars, helmets, tripods etc. Plus you can use GoPro accessories. You can also take the camera out of the housing (unlike the Hero) and use clips, even a belt clip is supplied.

The video quality is amazing, looking at it on the TV we are really impressed - and unlike the Hero you get a small LCD screen to watch the playback which is incredible for the price. There are lots of option in the menus, eg to stop camera shake, to set motion sensing, to invert the picture, in fact other than Wifi this has everything you will ever need. You can even zoom in whilst videoing (which my Canon 6D doesn't let me do).

Overall this is a great little camera and the perfect bit of kit for action sports, great for beginners or more experienced users. Given the very low price you can treat it a bit rough and be less worried if you're abusing the GoPro Black.

Highly recommended.

The Blusmart® SJ4000 1080P Sports Camera Waterproof HD Action Camera 170 degree Wide Angle DV Car Recorder Diving Action Camera was sent to me (free of charge) so that I could provide an honest and an unbiased review.

It's well made and comes with a wealth of mounting options.
You can mount it on a baby buggy, a shoe, a boot or your grandpa, if you are inclined to do so.
It works great.
The rear display is small, however, it is clear and vivid.
The menus were in English, unlike another SJ4000 I received which was all in Chinese and no obvious or easy to find way to change it.

All the mounts have connected to my existing collection of GoPro mounts and accessories with no problems.

It connects to my Windows 10 desktop and Windows sees it as an MTP device or a camera, depending on what is chosen on the camera itself.

The videos are good and certainly 1080p quality. It connected to my Vizio 1080p TV with no problems. The microphone is not the best, however it does work.

The attached video shows the quality of the video it takes, this was taken using the "Fetch" dog mount. And, obviously the Amazon screener bot has chewed and mangled yet another video file. I will get another video posted and cross my fingers that the screener bot has been fed enough by that time.

This thing is great, I took it under water for some spear fishing and it held up great. Shoots look AWESOME in and outside of the water. There are things on film that I couldn't see in the murky water with my eyes which is kind of creepy but very quality. I don't understand how they make money selling these for so cheap but I won't complain. Thanks blusmart, not a snowballs chance in hell I could afford a GP.
