Does not seem like traditional Rockport quality

I was disappointed with these. They look cheap and they feel cheap. They were not comfortable for me and they do not really look or feel like real leather. They initially seem like basic no-name sweatshop boots that you could buy at any discount store. Maybe they would get nicer as they break in?
Also, this particular boot runs large. My last shoes from Rockport were a 12W and they were perfect. These boots in a 12W are much too large for my feet.
I had to return them.

Effective, high-quality waterproof boot

I don't write reviews terribly often but felt compelled to counter some of the negative reviews here. These boots certainly do not feel cheap, they look great and again not at all cheap, and they have kept my feet dry as a bone in the middle of winter in Seattle. They take a couple weeks to break in as most good boots do, but after that are very comfortable. My one criticism is that they are hard to put on - there's no loop to grab in back, so I highly recommend use of a long shoe horn. Obviously everyone's experience is different but the negative reviews really did not resonate with me at all.

Nice boot for the price.

Just got these delivered today. Very nice looking and comfortable boot on first use. This is my third set of boots that I currently own. The other two are Timberland and used for work. I bought these more for home use but they seem to be built as well as my work boots and every bit as comfortable. If anything changes I'll update if necessary.

I'm not used to wearing these type of boots so trying to adjust to the top of the boot against my lower shin is why they are only comfortable for a few hours right now. I will be putting Dr Scholl's supports in them for extra padding on the heel and to provide better arch support but otherwise there is plenty of room (width) so that my foot is not squeezed.

not really a "winter" boot. i wouldn't wear them in less than 25 degrees Fahrenheit for any extended period. that said the look is perfect and the waterproofing is done right. it took me about 20 hours or so to work them in but i have wide feet and knew this to be the case when buying medium over wide. the upper is nice and snug around the ankle. overall a very good purchase.

Great so far. I have had the boots for two weeks and worn them every day. They are my daily work shoes and I am in and out of industrial plants all day and they are comfortable & stylish. I ordered size 13 but really could have used a 12 1/2 but they were not available.
