I am very happy with this laptop. First of all, if you do not know what a Chromebook is, make sure you understand that before buying one. I'll try to explain it a little at the end of the review.

I upgraded to this Chromebook from the 11" C720: Acer C720 Chromebook (11.6-Inch, 2GB) (which is an excellent device by the way, I just needed a bigger screen). I initially went to the 13" Acer Chromebook: Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311-T7NN (13.3-inch HD, NVIDIA Tegra K1, 2GB) and I was so unhappy with that one that I ended up returning it (screen was dull, performance was slow, case felt flimsy, and battery life was bad).

I am very happy that Amazon has this 15" Acer Chromebook now, because it is exactly the size I wanted, and it so far, feels like a great computer. Compared to the 13" which felt like it was going to crack if you picked it up by a corner, this 15" laptop feels sturdy, and although 1.5 lbs. heavier (at just under 5 lbs.) you are able to lift if with one hand by the corner of the laptop without it flexing much.

I wanted the version with the full HD screen (C910-C37P): Acer Chromebook 15 C910-C37P (15.6-inch Full HD IPS, Intel® Celeron, 4GB, 32GB SSD) but there was a 1 - 3 month back order delay for shipping from Amazon, so I decided to go with this version instead. This is our 3rd Chromebook: older HP 14" Pavilion Chromebook, my Acer C720P and this new C910. My wife loves her larger 15.6" screen and increased performance compared to the slower HP.

Favorable characteristics:
Very solid build, screen hinges are rugged, screen is plenty bright at her normal 60-70% brightness setting, battery life is fantastic with short re-charging time, snappy feel to the keys, fast page loading with multiple tabs open, Chromebook integrates well with her Android phone for photos and write-ups to manage her eBay sales.

EDIT:
I returned this chromebook because it was unstable. The screen would flash white, sometimes black, and sometimes it would freeze with no cursor. Further investigation reveals that more than a few prople have returned the 15" models for the very same reason.
Additionally, I was charged a restocking fee by Amazon (and their supplier Antonline) even though I stated in writing that I did not want a refund, that I wanted a new, working computer. In retrospect, I should have warranty-retuned it to Acer, it would have cost a little less and Acer would have another new,bad computer to investigate & repair. Oh well, it's only money...

Less than favorable characteristics:
Large and comparatively heavy. Well, after all, this is a big chromebook.

Annoying characteristics:
Screen flicker. We switched from Chrome Stable channel to Chrome Beta channel and found that the screen flicker is still present but occurs much less often than on the our-of-the-box stable channel. Since Google updates Chrome OS every two weeks or sooner, we expect that they will find/fix the cause of the flicker very soon.

If you are looking for a fantastic laptop for email, social media, facebook games, news, videos, documents and spreadsheets, photo management, shopping, banking, billing/payment management then this should be on your short list of candidates.

***UPDATE***

So after a few days of use for this system I am still very happy with it. I just wanted to update my review, I also looked into installing a new hard-drive as I think this would be a good system to dual boot for Linux. I haven't set that up yet; however It was 18 screws to take the bottom cover. There were no tamper proof screws or stickers so it would appear that changing the hard drive could be swapped back if you need to return the system for warranty repair. I would be interested setting this up for dual boot and I will in the future; however I know I won't have time to do this for some time.

Just received this today. So far I am very happy with this this purchase, these are my initial thoughts

Pros:
Performance is very snappy, tabs open quickly and smoothly. The Intel processor is really nice
Large screen, great viewing angles.
The case has a very nice and interesting feeling almost like a cloth.My wife and I really like it
Battery life seems very good; haven't been able to really put it through its paces yet but so far so good

Cons: (These are minor quibbles overall but I feel worth mentioning)
I think it is acceptable but the keyboard feels a little cheap, however I'm coming from a Macbook Pro that sorely needed to be replaced, I don't think it's completely fair to expect a 300 dollar laptop to have a comparable keyboard to a 1000 dollar one
Again overall i think the screen is acceptable, especially when one considers the price, however it is not extremely sharp. It is also slightly wobbly; however not that bad.

Overall I think this is a great purchase and I will update the review if I have additional thoughts or comments i'll update this!
