Cleans my dishes, from soiled pots to china. I'm not afraid of serving food off of dishes straight from the dishwasher like I am with the chemical filled brands. I love how you don't use very much, and the container lasts a very long time! When mine was shipped, some leaked out in the box, but when I complained, I was issued a refund, so great CS. A strip of tape around the seal would prevent this, fwiw.

I have tried many, many dishwasher soaps. Yes, even done the "homemade" kind. It just doesn't cut it. This gets my dishes sparkling clean, no residue and my silicon kitchen tools don't taste like soap. The other brands really seem to cling to silicon and give your kitchen tools a funny soap tastes.

I have previously used Seventh Generation's powdered unscented dish detergent but got this one on sale here on Amazon recently. They both work well in my GE dishwasher, and their ingredient list is very similar. I was worried about the scent because I normally get unscented dish detergent, but it's very subtle in powdered form and I can't even tell when the dishwasher is running (or after), plus it seems to be just orange peel oil that has the extra benefit of working as a de-greaser.

You don't need much of this detergent. The directions recommend 1 tablespoon per load (splitting it evenly between the regular and pre-wash detergent cups if you have two), or 2 tablespoons for hard water or heavy loads. It doesn't come with any measuring device, but I just re-purposed an old plastic measuring spoon I had for this purpose. The container is almost full to the brim, which is nice so they don't waste packing, but it also means that if your spoon has a handle it won't fit nicely into the jar until you've used a bit of the detergent--not necessarily a problem, but something you might want to consider.

All things considered, I find this a good detergent and would buy it (or the Seventh Generation powder--they're very similar, with this one being more concentrated and having a bit of citrus added) again.

Works amazing. I have used all kinds of detergent. Cascade has been my 'go to'. This product blows all of them out of the water. The inside of my dishwasher is stainless steel and it sparkles after a wash, NONE of the other brands have been able to do this. Also, when I don't use this product (use another brand), I have to run the dishwasher more than once. Using biokleen, I only need to run the load just one time. Saves money on water, and time. Could not stress enough how great this product works. It is a powder - not a liquid, and I use a measuring spoon to make sure I don't use too little or too much. Recommended amount is all you need to get the dish load sparkling clean and the dishwasher sparkling clean. Love the citrus scent too.

wow... this is a really great dish soap powder!! It lives up to the reviews that lead me to purchase in the first place. I do have soft water which helps but we had run out of salts and had hard water for quite some time and the dish soap still performed very well.

The first time we used this detergent, I found a puddle of water and detergent on our floor. That hasn't happened again, but we consistently have powder residue on the inside of the dishwasher door, or clumped in the reservoir. I'm using the minimum recommended amount of powder, and a "normal clean" cycle. There's often detergent residue on the plates, and food residue in the glasses.
