Transitioning to new foods:
Transitioning can result in fewer digestive issues and better acceptance of a new pet food.
- Mix both the current food with the new food.
- Gradually decrease the amount of the current dog food while increasing the amount of the new dog food.
- Continue to do this over a 7-day period.
- Dogs who are finicky, older or have medical conditions may take 10+ days to fully transition.

Our 4 year old german shepherd has always been on Science Diet food and done well. We have switched from large breed to active to light, etc as needed and he has always done well. When we switched him to this food for the purpose of slimming down a bit, he has not tolerated it well. It hasn't made him sick, but he has crazy gas all of the time.
Edit: Since writing the above, his digestive track has calmed down and I guess he has acclimated to the new food. No more gas. At 6 weeks, he has lost 5 lbs without an increase in exercise, which is better than we've been able to achieve with other foods. Another thing worth mentioning is the smell; the food has a potent smell that isn't contained by our normal tub container. The tub is just a standard tub not specific to dog food.

Thanks for your review! Were you able to do a gradual 7-day transition to the new food? Perhaps the change in ingredients is causing some tummy upset. Usually a transition helps your pet to adjust to the new ingredients.
We are sorry that you did not see any change in weight. Results should be seen around 10 weeks of beginning the food.
