This set is certainly cute, but beware, it does have a ton of teeny, weeny pieces. The doll itself is the coolest part. If you have more than one set you can switch their hair and clothing. There are cool features to the set as well, such as the spinning mirror and moving lever. I do think that it is ambitious for a 6 year old to do on his or her own. So if you are looking for a fun project to work on together, I definitely recommend. If you are looking for a quiet time activity for your 6 year old so you can knock out some chores, I might go a different direction. I think my eight year old could follow the directions and put this together on his own.

This is our first mega blocks set but we have had Lego friend sets... I wish the blocks were packaged the same way Legos is, that the first few steps are bagged together and so on. Other then that this is great! My daughter LOVES the Frankie figure that came with it and I like that it lights up. We still have one more monster high mega block set to put together but would highly recommend these!

My daughter is an avid Monster High fan, so she adored this Christmas present. It is really pretty decent as a Lego-ish toy goes. It is my first time buying a non-Lego, but similar, toy, and I will say that it is more difficult to put together than Lego (my fingers were pretty sore by the time I was done), but my daughter loves it and it's a good quality toy.

This set is perfect for the monster high fan. The picture instructions were easy to follow yet you can also build what you want. The characters can swap between sets. Once assembled its a fun playset. One hint- pour the parts into a bowl or rimmed plate before assembly.

I bought this for my 7 year old grand daughter who absolutely loves it. I can highly recommend this for little girls. It works beautifully with her other Monster High toys. It is durable and well made. I would buy it again.
