This is a very cute set--the minion is about an inch and a quarter tall. The design is adorable, and it is very easy to build. The reason for the four instead of five however is that the bricks do not stay together as well as Lego. The front wheel in particular has fallen off 4-5 times in the twenty minutes I have had this set together and that was just with me setting it down. I cannot imagine this set would stand up to the rigors of a child playing with it. It would be in pieces in short order.

But, if you like me, just want a cute set as a decoration that won't really be touched this is great.

My son absolutley loves the Mega Bloks Minions flying hot dog cart set. This is a great little set and I know that he is going to be enjoying it for a long time.

My son loves to have me actually, put the set together for him. He will play with this set as a completed unit for about 2 days. Then after these two days will start to build his own creations out of the fun blocks that came in the set.

I was pleasantly surpised by the number of pieces in the set. The construction was of great quality and for the little set this was, it had a decent number of pieces. The end result, after we completed our instruction build was adorable. I will be buying more minion sets for his birthday coming up for sure!!!!

the Minions are moveable/poseable and, of course, interchangeable with other sets and other Minion parts (such as eyes).
the Mega Bloks fit with Legos.
fun for all of us!

This set is a nice addition to the minion/Lego collection for anyone. However it is a very very small set and the actual scooter is cheap and small. My 4 year old loves it. I wish I would have saved my money.

My four year old nephew loves minions...and by love I mean borderline obsessed, which is something we have in common. :) Needless to say he absolutely loves this toy and takes it with him everywhere! The only downside is that some of the pieces are very small so if you have tiny tots, be wary of the small pieces.

Was this set part of The Minion Movie? Does it matter? I don't know since it difficult to remember the plot (can you call it that?) of the movie. You should read my more thorough review of the movie...in the Mega Bloks Minions Station Wagon Getaway set.

The main reason to buy these Mega Bloks sets is for the Minion characters. They are well made, have fun expressions, and have very functional ball and socket arms and legs which allow for a great flexibility of play and use. I love MiniFigs but the form is both a limitation and a gift. Forcing yourself to work within certain constraints can actually encourage the use of your imagination (both of the LEGO company and of your child). But having fewer constraints can also contribute to some great, zany characters as is evident of the Mega Blok line of Minions.

The Mega Bloks are fine but the Minions stand out and could be played with independently of the blocks. I am on the fence if this set is really justified. Have I been trained by LEGO to believe I need to buy a play set with the characters? Or should I have just gone down to the Big Box store and purchased a few more of the Mega Blok Blind Pack Series of Minions? I don't know. The sort of ambivalence explains the ranking. If you want more minions you could buy this...or you could buy the separately. The choice is yours.

Personally, I bought this set so we could have the little banana.
