Short version. Works great, I love that it's electrical and not battery operated. Mashes very fast.

I hate peeling potatoes and I hate mashing potatoes. Why? because it's time consuming and boring. When it comes to mashing this baby works great. It's really fast, powerful and very simple to clean.

Power - I have not tested any other similar products before so I can't really compare but I can say not once did I feel that this machine was struggling with lack of power.

Speed - Super fast, I can mash about 8 regular yellow potatoes in about 20-30 seconds.

Cleaning - When I first received it I thought the holes would be a nightmare to clean so I was hesitant to use it. Once I used it, I just rinsed it under the tap and threw it in the dishwasher. It cleaned up really well.

The blade cones are very easy to put on and take off. I have mashed potatoes with it, made guacamole (add chunky ingredients after you have used the Masha!), and mixed some pancake mix with it. Be careful when mixing anything powdery. When first starting, a little powder may puff out of the bowl (I probably should have used a larger bowl).

All in all it does exactly what it says, nice comfortable grip, super easy to use, and actually kind of therapeutic (taking anger out by mashing potatoes!).

This product really surprised me, it's really well made, feels very solid in the hand, well balanced, quiet, overall it beats the heck out of any usual method of ricing. Did mashed potatoes, made them like homemade but smooth, not overdone and sticky. It's easy to clean, the impeller comes off easily and easy to change to the other one. It's quiet and really well made.

Impressive product.

this is the greatest invention ever, I did a whole 10 lb. bag of potatoes in a giant pot, no lumps. I was amazed at how well it worked.
I have every gadget there is and this one is a keeper.

Fabulous. I got tired of using the old strainer thing with the spring. It kept falling apart while I was using or was a pain to hold it still and turn handle at the same time. and then the cleanup had to be done as well. This Dash Masha does the job better in about 15 seconds. Hardly any cleanup, just take the blade off and wash it.

My wife and I eat a lot of sweet potatoes, so this is great. Tried it Thanksgiving for turnips and it was just as good. You have to be out of your mind to use the old-fashioned strainer with the handle instead of this. I paid $19 for this, well worth the money. If you like mashed potatoes as much as we do, you must get this.

Only had it a week or so, so don't know about any problems with the mechanics of it. Hope there are none. Looks nice and solid and easy to clean and store.

Don't be fooled by sound reviews this thing isn't perfect yes it does make smooth potatoes but it does take a while and it takes effort you also have to clean the outside of the basket portion with a knife from time to time or else it seems to get jammed up. Not the perfect tool but definitely easier than washing by hand

I needed something that would allow safe mashing/mixing in a non-stick pan. Though its use is a little awkward for us height-challenged cooks, it does a good job. It comes apart easily for cleaning though the bottom 'cage' component is not dishwasher-safe and its holes like to hold food. I also wonder if the diameter of 'cage' area were a little smaller (similar to a stick/hand blender), it would be easier to wield...
Does not harm non-stick and does a pretty good job mashing/whipping fully-cooked potatoes, squash, etc. Haven't tried the other blade for batter-type mixing yet.
