I used Hoppe's No. 9 for years but my wife objected to the smell. Breakthrough is odorless but seems to work as well as Hoppes and is not water based so I feel better than using an aqueous cleaner when working on non-stainless firearms. I'm very pleased with the performance.

Seem like a good quality product. It's nice being able to use a non toxic and less chemically smelling product, which it is with all gun lube and solvents they make. This way I can clean guns in the house during the cold winters with no lingering smells of more harsh oils and solvents. I also like that this lube is clear so no more issues with stains from me being dumb and not noticing there was lube on my hand and smear it on somthing.
My only small complaint with this product is how thin it is, it is not as bad as clp or fp10 but still pretty damn thin which usually makes it harder to stay where it was put. If you only shoot 50 or so rounds a range session, It's not a big deal but when that number is closer to 500 that can cause some problems. Also this like all other lubes is not some magical lube like their marketing would make you believe. It seems to lubricate pretty well but I have seen better for lower prices. With saying that I will continue to buy this product and the rest of their product line

This stuff is great! I threw away my MPro 7 after giving this stuff a try. This stuff leaves a nice oily coat on your gun and parts without being gross to hold. I love this product and swear by it!

Breakthrough is legit. I've used it on all of my rifles, shotties, and pistols. Most importantly it does eat away carbon very well. It also fights rust. I have an old Mosin that had a light rust issue (legit light coating, as barrel wasn't oiled after last cleaning) and after 2 two minute soakings and a bunch of patches and brushing, the bore was clean. No rust. This is a legit product. I will be buying more.
