I have tried a large number of different toothbrushes and this one by far works best. It is just the right firmness - Oral-B's Soft is equivalent to the GUM medium - and very long-lasting. I have no idea why the previous reviewer said it 'only lasted a week' - in 65 yrs I have NEVER known any toothbrush to only last a week unless one snaps the handle in half!

I infinitely prefer the flat, even bristle length of this model to the fancy varied-length brushes that are becoming so popular; I find those tear up my gums unless I'm very careful. These are extremely difficult to find in the store nowadays; I'm pleased that Amazon is carrying them from a Prime vendor.

These are soft enough to not irritate sensitive gums, but still get your teeth clean. I also like the shape and size of the grip - the toothbrush doesn't slip out of my hand. I keep a package of these on hand in our guest bathroom all the time because you never know when a visitor will need a toothbrush.

I love that these brushes let you know when they're done for. Too often, I've stuck with toothbrushes and god knows when I've replaced them last! These feel great, even on my sensitive gums and I do feel my mouth is cleaner. I would recommend these for travel, they dry fast.

I typically purchase those toothbrushes that have all the funky colored rubber things sticking up from in between the bristles. This is because the marketing tactics usually pull me in and I can't tell them no. This time I decided to go a cheaper route and buy this toothbrush without all the fancy/scary added bristle accessories.
I can honestly say that I can't tell a difference between this brush and those and this brush was at least half if not a third or a quarter of the price of those fancier brushes. I don't need anything expensive or fancy as long as it helps me brush my teeth effectively then that's all I'm really worried about. That's all I'm paying for when I purchase a toothbrush anyway!
I tend to have sensitive gums so I do buy all of my toothbrushes in Soft, but this is because my mother always told me this when I was younger so I've just listened to her as I've gotten older, strange how that happens..
