I received this product free of charge, in exchange for my review. I have a confession to make. I'm a guy. I really feel no imperative motivation to look pretty. I see commercials on TV all the time for the benefit of girls who have zits, and I sympathize with those folks, but my days of zit-fighting are more than a half century ago. When I work in my garden, as I do most days now, I wash my hands when I come in, but my face? Nope. Unless I have managed to get some backsplash from something I'm trimming or mowing, I've never seen the need. So I received this product, and I was a bit like the dog that was always chasing cars: he finally caught one, and couldn't figure out what to do with it. Then, after pondering deeply how I might use a "Daily Face Wash", suddenly the flash-bulb flared. "Daily" -- that's the clue. I do have a shower every morning, and in the process my ugly mug does get washed. So now I have this delightful product in the basket system at the corner of my shower, and I use it "daily" as a normal part of my ablutions. The amazing thing is that I actually do feel a difference on my skin, and, what's more, as I am still an old fashioned shaving soap and razor type shaver, I have been amazed to discover that the blade really does seem smoother as it makes me pretty each morning. Good stuff. Give it a shot, I think you'll like it too.

This is a good man's cleanser. They say it removes dirt and sweat. That sure sounds like us guys. Even the brawny UPS guy handed me the package with an approving nod (no doubt it would have been a fist bump had we both had free hands).

I see the women in this review space coveting after this too. Hands off.

You gals have enough products just for you. No cute pink bottle or rosy scent here (though the bottle is kind of petite). So, men- as much as they plead, no matter how hard they beg, even if they show you those eyes (you know the ones I mean), you must resist.

This is our cleanser.

I have very sensitive skin on my face. Many skin care products have historically caused me to develop red irritated areas, even hives. So I was hesitant to start using a daily face wash again as I've had bad experiences in the past. However, since I was receiving a free review sample I figured that I would try it.

I am happy to report that after two weeks I have not had any problems with facial skin irritation due to this and I think (it's hard to say) I am having fewer new blackheads or zits form. I'm glad I found a face wash for my sensitive skin.

I will report back here if with longer term use I get any skin senstivity issues.

For several years I have used a popular brand tube dispensed daily face scrub/wash and, placed the order after reading Cetaphil description of the product “Your Face Wash Should Safeguard Your Skin's Natural Moisture Barrier, Not Break it Down. This Soap-Free, Non-Irritating Formula is Clinically Proven to Deep Clean Skin by Removing Dirt and Oil While Helping to Protect and Preserve Skin's Natural Barrier Through a Unique Low Lather Formula”. First, let me point out the fact the Cetaphil Daily Face Wash pump action dispenser is a welcomed replacement to the squeeze tube my current brand uses. Further, the unscented Cetaphil face wash is preferable to the scented stuff I have been using. Bottom line both are excellent face scrub/wash products, however, after using the Cetaphil Daily Face Wash I would recommend it without reservation. Plus the price is right especially when using Amazon’s Subscribe & Save service.

I really enjoy Cetaphil products, they have a reputation for being very functional, no extra scents, down to business products that just work. This is a face wash, which is basically soap, but designed to not dry out your face, and help pull oil/sweat/etc off of it.

It works well in usage, it is unscented which means no added scents, it does have a scent, I don't know how to describe it, but it's of the soap itself, and while not being a fragrance or fancy scent concocted in a lab it still smells good.

Couple of interesting things. It says for Men, this seems nearly identical to the face wash product I've used before. Other than branding this specifically for men (maybe Men thought the gender neutral version was just for women?) it doesn't appear to be any different. Also the pump dispenser busted on mine when I was trying to pull it out, it still functions but it can come off easily now. So be careful opening it the first time.

Cetaphil has historically been one of the best cleansers you could use. I always kept a bottle next to the shower for family members with sensitive skin.

This version has more ingredients and the main ingredient is Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, a very gentle cleanser.

My grandson used it and said it felt and smelled like regular soap. However, he’s a big Axe fan and prefers scented products that are not necessarily the best for his skin.

If your skin is dry and itchy, you might find Cetaphil’s Eczema Calming Body Wash to be more soothing.
