I loved these til my store no longer carried them. Then I found then on amazon and eagerly ordered several. I got then today and blergh. They used to be flavorful and with a delicious chipotle crust. The ones I got are basically plain unroasted/unsalted peanuts with a smidgen of powdery substance on it. I'm guessing the powder is supposed to be chipotle? Planters, please go back to what you have pictured on your case?

The biggest complaint I have about them is the flavor isn't really there. The chipotle flavor is barely there, and what flavor it does have evaporates rather quickly. Otherwise, you are just left with the nuts, which are still good, but not what I was hoping for.

Also, I know that generally these are sold with all tastes in mind, but in pretty disappointed in the hotness of these nuts. By that I mean there isn't any heat to them at all. I would compare it to a nd chili powder in both heat and flavor. And because the flavor vanishes so fast, it's hard to really get anything out of these.

Fortunately, these are pretty cheap for 6 ounces of nuts. So even though I would say that I didn't like them as a whole, I'm not out much money at all. And if I take these as just plain nuts, they are still edible. They just aren't the flavor I actually wanted.

But maybe someone else would appreciate these more than I did. They aren't bad, but they are a bit weak, and not what I was personally expecting.

This particular variety of Planters Peanuts in this small 6 ounce can are simply blah in my opinion. The peanuts are the same as the other varieties, and the coating is more granular, but they don't have a kick I was hoping for with a chipotle flavor. I don't get much of a smokiness which was the biggest disappointment. An ice cold beer is not necessary to accompany these nuts.

Pretty weak compared to the other Chili Lime flavor. I tried the Chili Lime first and really liked how it packed a punch of flavor. I was expecting the same with the Chipotle but the flavor is very mild. Still tastes good in my opinion but wish there was more heat. Some other reviews complained about the small size can but I actually was surprised how large it was for the price.

These were not as good as I expected they'd be for the hot tooth in the family. As I purchased them for a son who loves hot stuff. I interviewed him on what he thought, his response was, "Nasty" he could not eat them. It's to bad. Because I thought they'd be a nice snack. Some folks might like them. The price is not bad on them, so I'd say it is probably a taste preference situation. If you've never had them, you still may want to try them. As for the nuts my son did not want. They did not go to waste. I crushed them and put them in a crust of a Mexican pie I made. That worked. So, yeah, they may not be great right out of the can into your mouth, but they can work crushed fine and used in crust for pizza or just a Mexican pie as I made. My fiance is a fan of anything peanut. He especially loves peanut butter. I ordered these with a pantry order for him to try. He said that they were great and I don't believe they lasted in the house very long. I am not a big fan of peanuts so I did not try them. I am sure we will be ordering these again when we place another pantry order. I like that there is a variety of flavors with the peanuts. For someone who is trying to cut out carbs and eating more nuts and stuff like that, it is nice to have additional flavor options.

Smoky and not too salty. Slow-burn spiciness. It's not immediately spicy, but gets to a mild burn. These are my new favorite Planters flavor. The only drawback is an initial starchiness. The first few of these peanuts you ever have will probably seem weird. I'd suggest you try a few more to get over that initial starchiness, then decide whether you like them or not.

Yummy!!! I like to have a snack now & then with my cocktails at night but it usually ends up being something really unhealthy like chips. So I got these to try out since nuts at least have protein & good fats. They are so good & just the right amount of spice if you don't like stuff that's super hot. I tried the chili lime ones & they had good flavor but were a bit too hot for me.
