Sizing:
I wear between a US 9.5-10, and so far, every Feiyue shoe I've purchased has fit very well when I purchase a size 43/US 9.5. It's nice that they're consistent. These seem to be a little more snug on your feet overall, though. I personally enjoy the more secure feel it provides. They'll slightly stretch as you wear them, but not as much compared to the regular Feiyues.
Comparison/Characteristics:
I have been using these Olive/Green Feiyue Hi Top Ventilate-styled shoes for a few months, now, and while they're not perfect, they're a wonderful pair of shoes and offer different support and characteristics compared to the Feiyue lo, hi-top or classic. One of the main differences you'll notice when wearing them is the flat/stable bottom--similar to a Converse, instead of the more rounded and ribbed, slipper/martial art style of the others. The sole is a stylized cross-hatching (instead of ribbed) and adds a little flair (even though you will generally never see it). Keep in mind that these shoes follow the same trend with the other styles where they have little to no arc support. They seem to provide more grip than the regular Feiyues, though--for the time being, at least. I was drawn to the "layered" appearance on the sides, so they definitely stand out among the rest of my shoes. The color helps with that, as well. Comparatively, the fabric feels flimsy, yet it's light and more durable at the same time due to the quality of the cotton.Read more ›
