After spending thousands of dollars on SOMFY roller shades, I expected the overpriced SOMFY MyLink to work like most other home automation hubs - seamlessly. Instead what I got was a product with extremely limited range (30ft) that only works in ONE room (the literature shows a picture of an entire house being controlled by one MyLink) where the configuration process was as FRUSTRATING and time consuming as you can possibly imagine. I am extremely tech-savvy having multiple home automation devices at my home, but setting up the MyLink has been a nightmare. First, the system only works on one room. When you try to move it closer to a second room so that it can control roller shades there, it fails to control all the windows it is supposed to. Moreover, after following the instructions to a T, the system removed the program of some of the motors in the roller shades!! I've spent now the better part of the afternoon getting on ladders to reset the programming of the roller shade motors and calling SOMFY for support. Every time you call you have to wait at least 20 minutes to speak to someone (if they ever answer) and otherwise you are offered for a callback within 2 hours!! I've requested the callback the last time I called--needless to stay I've been waiting for more than 2 hours...no callback, the original programming of my roller shades is still messed up, and the MyLink doesn't work. Please do me a favor and stay away from a company whose products are stuck somewhere between the 80's and 90's. I made the expensive mistake!!

This item doesn't work properly. Installation cannot be completed because it cannot be found on my network during installation (despite trying more than 20 times on 4 different routers). If I chose the "join existing system" option instead of "start new system", I can find the device on my network but since there is no default PIN, I cannot link to it. So, apparently the device does actually connect to my network, also indicated by the solid green light, but either the application or the device is defective. Either way, it doesn't work and I am returning it. After waiting on hold for more than 15 minutes, customer service could only tell me to try again. Gee thanks.

Mine works well on 2 of my 3 drapes. Strange that the one it works on is the closest somfy hard wired glydea motor (12 feet away). I called somfy, and they acknowledged there is a fault in their product that should be resolved with an update to the app. It has been 2 months and nothing yet. I asked for a warranty replacement twice in case I had a faulty unit, and no response from somfy. Pretty disappointed with their customer support on a product that does not work as advertised. I have to always use the original remote, which was not the idea when I purchased this product.

This product ultimately does not work. I had it professionally installed by a retailer that sold me the somfy blinds. After about 2 days half the blinds would go up, a quarter would go up half way and the final quarter would not go up at all. We tried to set the blinds up on a schedule, and after navigating the confusing interface, still never got the blinds to synchronize. I called the installer and he confirmed that this is a problem with this product. We agreed its not ready for primetime.

While the idea behind the product is sound, the execution is flawed. When I push the button from my iPad to lower, raise, or halt the shade it takes a few seconds to register with the motor. If I would like to stop the shade halfway down, by the time it registered that I pushed the button to stop, it would already be fully unrolled. And this is only when it works. Sometimes I'll issue a command from the app and it won't even register with the shade. They functionality of the MyLink and the app don't come close to replacing the remotes the shade comes with. I hope the functionality improves with subsequent updates.

Agree with the other 1-stars. This wireless app sucks. Once a channel is programmed, it's impossible to change or erase. I even used the reset feature but still random blinds are attached to a channel (from previous programming) and there is no way to fix it. Now my bedroom and one kitchen blind are grouped together. The scheduled is not reliable. I had to program myself because our somfy shade installers had no clue how to program the mylink. All and all, this is a BIG disappointment. We spent over $12K on somfy blinds for our house, and I would not recommend. That experience has been horrible, and this wireless feature is no exception.

So far so good. The installation took about 20 minutes and overall it was fairly smooth sailing. That includes pairing the device to the app and setting up Scenes and Schedules

A few negatives:
As far as I can see, the app does not integrate with IOS widgets for my Apple devices.

The icons for the Scenes are pretty childish and nonsensical...like a third grader came up with them (this is a minor offense, I can deal)

I did have a moment of frustration when I reset my PIN and my app didn't recognize any of my settings. I closed the app and everything I had done was gone when I reopened it. So I thought I lost everything and proceeded to start over. Part way through the second setup process it suddenly recognized me as a returning user and I was able to restore my settings.

In conclusion, good product. Generally very easy to set up: plug it in to any wall outlet, pair with both the app and the existing remotes, set up Scenes/Schedules, and you're off to the races. To developers, good job generally but adding to IOS widgets would really help me as I have Lutron lights and I would like all of my basic controls to be a swipe away from my Apple devices.
