First - the unit worked for about an hour then closed the contact to open the door on its own. Stayed open until reset (removed from wall and disconnected power), then did the same thing again. While I am sure the unit simply had a defective part, it made me worried about a future failure leaving my door open while I am not at home. I live in an urban area with my door being on the street, which would be quite dangerous. I decided to switch back to a physical button to unlock the door to exit.
The unit did look nice, however, and I liked the fact that it was lighted (glows blue then white when pressed) - makes it easy to see at night. The case is very plastic looking (sides), but over all, the unit is nice looking and was a nice upgrade in looks from the white plastic exit button that was there previously.
