Received a manufacturer's second

Bra fits nice, but when I went to cut the tags off I noticed they were safety pinned to the strap. When I took off the safety pin the strap was not sewn on. I know how to sew, so I did it myself, but it was obviously not a bra that should have been sent. See uploaded photo.

Order a different size than what you normally wear.

Ordered a 32G. The band feels nice but it still slides a little bit. The cups seem a bit too small, but in the Smoothie bra by Curvy Kate, the cups run large and the band also runs large.
This brand is really difficult to buy from over the odd and uneven sizing between the bras... made me feel a bit sad!

For people who have full breasts or breasts that are higher up on your chest, you should order in your size or even a size up in cup.
For people who have less full breasts (like I used to before exercises and creams) or breasts that are lower on the chest, you should order one cup size down from what you normally wear.

For people looking for something pretty to be worn solely in the bedroom for a short period of time, this is probably the bra for you.
For people looking for something comfortable that can be worn all day, do not buy this bra. It's not at all comfortable!

The fabric didn't feel nice. It felt very cheap. It was even itchy! The bra itself was very beautiful, though. It's a real shame that I can't wear it often over the severe discomfort it causes.

Ive had a problem from another store tht sold curvy kate and they sent me a 40G when I ordered a 40J. I havent ordered from them or anything curvy kate since that because the manager of the store told me over phone that the differences were made according to sizing in the US. I understood that but with me orderng from the Europe/UK area SO MUCH it was surprise.

This time, the size was correct, the bra is absolutely beautiful. It left my fiance in awe and he had his mouth agape for a few minutes lol. I love the color and love how light it is. I need this as big boobs tend to get a little hot... the straps dont look like grandma straps, and even though the back has only 3 prongs, its keep weight off my shoulders and making me feel less tired. My back doesnt hurt for once yay!

Perfect Fit

I have purchased a Curvy Kate bra before this one is my second. Absolutely perfect. I can't believe how long it took for me to find this wonderful brand with bras that actually fit! I have tried many other stores, Victoria Secret, JC Pennies with so called "professional" fitting and blah blah. Their method of measuring is wrong over and over again. It is absolutely frustrating that the only cup sizes they carry go down to D and if you're lucky a DD. I'm a frikkin J, who carries that?! Stores think that in order to have a larger cup size you must have a large band size to go with it such as 40 J. No, I'm a 32 J and Curvy Kate is the only one that has it. I love their variety of sizes, they have wide range of cups for each band size and that's incredibly amazing. I've NEVER seen that before. The colors I don't care about because support, fit, comfort and durability are my priority with bra shopping. But hey, they have fun colors to make it all interesting if you want something different. Yes, finding out what your proper size is a bit of work but worth it all (especially when Curvy Kate does returns with your money back). The prices are always high but if you do some searching with patience there will be amazing deals, I promise.

The only downside I can think of is I'm disappointed it took me nearly 15 years to find this brand. I dearly wish I could have had this sooner. Would have saved me a lot of grief, time and money.

Almost perfect and very cute

I would've written a raving great review, but my underarms got quite chafed after wearing the bra for four hours. In fact, I've got a bruise on the left side! It's too late for me to return this bra because I loved it SO much that I took off the tags after an hour. It's quite strange that it was so comfortable until it wasn't. I don't think this bra will do the same thing to others IF you're not as short (five feet tall) as I am. The stiff strap hits the muscle under my arm in the worst place. I'm so disappointed!

See the four stars above? That's because I plan on wearing this bra during warm weather for half days. I've other bras like this (sadly) because I'm so short and such a difficult size to fit.

The 28G fits me perfectly. That's the size I measure out to with a 28 underbust and a 37 full bust. I'm full on bottom and I don't think this would be the best bra for someone who is full on top. The wires are very wide and really push one inward; if you're like that already it may be too much, or you may not fill out the bottom of the cup. For me, it's perfect save the fact that the cups are too tall for my short frame.

I love the fact that Curvy Kate has bras with three hooks. I don't wear other brands like Panache and Freya because two hooks is not enough support for larger cups, at least not for me. I wish the sizing on these bras was more standardized. This 28 is a bit loose in the band, as opposed to most other Curvy Kate bras which seem quite tight in a size 28. This one fits on the 2nd or 3rd hook straight out of the package, and the way these bras stretch, it'll probably be too big fairly soon.

This is not a "bad review." I'd steer away from this one if you're short. On the other hand, it's such a cute and fun sexy bra (my hubby loves it!Read more ›
