Poor quality - boots arrived with soles unglued from upper portion of boots!

Paid for overnight shipping on these boots. They arrived promptly today and boots are defective. The soles are separated from the upper portion of the boot on both of them - unbelievable! Poor quality, obviously a manufacturing defect and poor quality control for allowing these boots to be packaged up for shipment.

Wider than expected

Normally I wear a size 9 in Sam Edelman shoes, however after originally ordering a black pair of the Joey boots from the Sam Edelman website, I knew I had to return them for a size 8 due to how wide the foot bed and ankle were. I then found the same boots on Amazon for a better price than Sam edelman's own website and ordered my black pair in a size 8 and another pair in brown. However, this second pair has a strong odor that I am hoping to just air out. The shoes are beautifully made with really nice leather and suede interior. I do think I will have to wear a mid ankle sock due to the zipper and the height of the ankle possibly rubbing on my skin. I've only broken them in around the house with thin, low ankle socks. I do like the ankle support and the wide heel for all day support. They are snug on my narrow feet but still comfortable. They run wide so order 1 whole size down.

It will need some breaking in if you are not used to wearing pointy shoes. These boots are very simple and classy. Can go with anything but I plan to wear it mostly with midi skirts, cullouts, and faded black skinny jeans. The heel is about 2.25" and shaft 6.75".

I love these boots

I love these boots. They're perfect. Leather is soft, heel is perfect height and doesn't make much noise. I love the pointy toes and shiny leather. They fit true to size. I'm a regular 8 and these fit perfect.

Gorgeous, soft leather, beautiful tan color

The saddle tan color is absolutely gorgeous, and the leather is very soft and of high quality. I've only worn them one day and they're already breaking in nicely with pretty little creases. I ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly. They are very sleek looking, despite the clunky, practical heel. I have very skinny feet that tend to just fall right out of boots without laces, but these actually fit really well! The heel is low enough to barely notice, so it doesn't send your foot sliding all the way to the front. These seem like they'll be good for walking everyday. Really, these are an incredible value for the price.

Love these boots!

These shoes are beautiful with great quality leather (I bought brown). The top of the shaft is a little stiff and uncomfortable at first. I normally wear 8-8.5 and because of the pointed toe, the 8.5 fits perfectly (I tried size 8 as well, which was too small). These will look really nice with wear as well.

Versatile, Classy and Comfortable!

I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the leather, the classic styling, and the comfortable fit of this boot. I typically wear an 8.5 in flats and a 9 in heels or pointy toe styles, so I ordered these in size 9. (Sam Edelman tends to run narrow, which is another reason I ordered the size 9.) They required no breaking in period, and I think I could have even worn the size 8.5.

This style is so versatile. I primarily bought them to wear to work with dress pants as I am on my feet most of the day. I can see how they would look great with jeans on the weekends, too.

Just ordered them in tan and can't wait to see how those will look with dark denim flares.
