I was so excited to feed this to my baby as he loved the ones we originally bought at Whole Foods. When this arrived I opened the box & accidentally fed my baby a bad pouch as there was mold!!!!!! Yuck!!!!!!! Inspecting the pouch I noticed there was a tiny hole on the bottom underneath the pouch. Am I worried?! Yes?! Will I buy this again?! No thank you! I will be returning tomorrow. So sad as I loved the ingredients but I don't trust the quality control or want to risk moldy pouches!

My daughter loves the fruit mixed combinations. I tasted this one and it is like apple sauce but you have a hint of the brown rice in the aftertaste. It is appropriately bland for a babies' palate but just sweet enough to make it interesting. The consistency and color is close to applesauce as well. The ingredients are pretty simple: organic pears, organic apples and organic brown rice. It is important to me that my daughter's baby food has the fewest possible ingredients and the ingredients that are in the food are simple. This certainly fits the bill.

I have never had any issue with Ella's products. I like the pouches because they are convenient and I can bring them along with a spoon and a bib for a quick snack. I know that some folks are concerned or scared of mold or other issues with the baby food that you can't see with the pouch design but I usually squeeze a bit onto a napkin to check and then I taste it to be sure it tastes normal. I attached a picture of this flavor on a napkin so you can see the consistency and color.

Most important of all, my daughter loves this particular brand and flavor. She gets very excited to see the pouch come out at meal time!

We love Ella's kitchen. It's the only brand of "baby food" we let our son have. He's done baby led weaning since he was 6 months, so he started with solids. These are just pureed fruits and vegetables, no added juice. My son loves these pouches and they are a treat I don't feel guilty about giving him!

I bought this for my baby just starting out on food. The amazon labeling and exterior packaging clearly says stage 1 and for a 4 month old. When it arrived the carton holding the six pouches also said stage 1 and 4+ months, but the pouches themselves said stage 2 and for 6 months plus. Both the carton and the individual packages are marked pears + apples + baby rice, just differ on the age. Basically I now have to store these for a while until my baby is ready when I would rather have stuff she can eat now taking up space in my cabinet. Makes you wonder what else this company may get wrong on their labeling...

My 10.5 month old will eat pretty much any puree, and does eat a lot of the Ella's kitchen products. However, when we tried this she literally spat it out, turned bright red, and coughed for like a minute. Tried again and same thing.

I actually enjoy the smell of it and the taste isn't bad either. I think the issue is that it's too spicy for a baby. You can see flakes of the seasoning in the puree, and I guess it's just too much for the sensitive baby taste buds.
