I purchased the previous design of this bypass, hoping it would work for my Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. It didn't work, but the seller designed and shipped this new one for me. It worked like a charm! Excellent product and amazing customer service! He went above and beyond and answered my questions very quickly. I highly recommend MicroBypass!

Worked great for about 2 weeks! It stopped working shortly thereafter I'm afraid. I was able to reset the radio to get it working again, but after about another week I had to reset it again. After resetting it for the third time it stopped working all together.

I'm just guessing, but I think I got a bad /defective unit. I'm working on getting it replaced so I'll be able to tell you all about their customer service soon.

** EDIT** I did indeed discover the issue with my unit! Absolutely had nothing to do with the unit...There was an issue with my ground wire. The 4100NEX Fits so tightly in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler that I damaged the primary ground wire, causing the bypass to quit working. Unit now works perfectly!

This company has excellent customer service, and I appreciate Matt reaching out to me about the issue.

I felt like a surgeon when installing this microbypass on my AVH-4100NEX stereo. The instructions were very clear, and the process took no longer than 30 minutes to install. As soon as I cranked up the car, I popped in a movie, put the car on Drive and the movie played without any hiccups. How awesome? Of course, this is used for the passengers, and not me, as I am focused solely on driving when operating my car. This is the best microbypass out there, and for the price, it's a no-brainer.

I used this on my AVH-4100NEX so my daughters could watch Monkey George (Curious George) while driving. Without it, the receiver WILL NOT allow video (or as far as I understand ... I don't know for sure, since I installed this immediately when I installed the radio) while in motion.

Instructions are short and sweet, but crystal clear. I just followed them and it works great.

My AVH-4100NEX decided to display its ridiculous video warning whenever I used my iPod Classic, even when I was just playing music. That warning basically makes the unit unusable, because it eliminates any track information and controls from the entire display until you go through the hand brake procedure. Obviously, you can't do that while driving. This "safety" feature is just an unnecessary annoyance, especially since it happens even without video playing.

I installed this MicroBypass and it immediately eliminated the need to do the parking brake dance. Now when the stereo decides that I shouldn't be able to see my iPod controls, I can just hit OK to dismiss the dialog.

This did it's job and I am happy about it. My family and I can go on long trips and either pop in a DVD or watch videos off of an SD card with this baby installed on our '06 Honda Ridgeline. No need for a flip switch or anything. Just acknowledge the safety warnings that come up when you start up your vehicle, obey local laws and for the driver, keep your eyes on the road, let your family enjoy the rest.

Took longer to get the radio out and put it back than it did to hook this up. This little gem is great. I watched a few videos on YouTube of guys trying to do this with their headlights and relays and switches. Screw that. For 15 bucks get this guy and there are no worries.

When I originally purchased the microbypass for my headunit, AVH 4100NEX I mistakenly got the one for the 4000NEX. I contacted microbypass and was emailed back by Matt and explained that the 4100NEX required an updated microbypass. Specifically this one.

Matt, said he would mail me the correct microbypass for my headunit with an envelope so I could return the one I originally purchased. I received and installed it today, works perfectly.

Make sure you get the correct one, if you have any questions just shoot them an email and they'll help you out.

Great customer service and product, wouldn't think twice about ordering again if the need arose, or about referring them to my friends.
