I gave these a try for mounting all the power/VAS transistors for audio amplifiers to heat sinks. It comes with three washer sizes, and all kinds of useful screw sizes for that purpose. However, about 10% of the nuts/screws have bad tooling and are unusable. At this price I guess that is to be expected? but if you know of better products on Amazon, you should probably jump for those - and leave a line here, so I can try them out too ;)

I purchased this assortment of Small Machine Screws and Nuts to give my bucket of assorted nuts and bolts a little help. From time to time I decide to tinker out in my garage and make something cool. I use a bucket to keep all of my used screw and bolts in; they all come from dead equipment or machines that I took apart before I recycled the metal that was held together by the screws.

Well anyway it’s helpful to have a good set of small bolts and matching nuts. They are zinc so they are rust resistant and they are of an okay quality, I have run across a small problem with some of the nuts that do not fit the matching size bolts in this pack, I was able to work with a fine point rotary tool to take away the imperfections in a few nut threads and made them work. I would normally not go to the trouble of fixing nuts to work but I needed them at the time and didn’t want to stop to drive to town. If you buy these and do what I did, make sure the nut that you work on must be firmly locked down by a vice, rotary tools are very fast and nuts fly very far if you get my drift.

I gave this item three stars for the above reason.

This particular set has a nice assortment of smaller size machine screws and nuts. I actually purchased them as part of Occupational Therapy on the recommendation of a therapist, since assembling the small bolts and nuts is good for fine motor movements.

I was pleased with the assortment which contained an assortment of three lengths of bolts in #6 and #8, and nuts to fit both sizes. The case keeps these well sorted.

The price was the lowest I've seen anywhere period. However they are all much smaller than I thought & not very useful for my needs. The quality is good, not great but good. The organizer is good with sizes clearly marked. The price was so much lower than anywhere else that it made the purchase worth while.

These work well when one needs the occasional screw that is not in your "bone box" of assorted screws, nuts and washers.
Remember these are not high carbon steel. If you lay off the impact driver at the end of tightening, they should work fine.
