These lights are bright, the ribbon is flexible, and the current draw is very low. But, they quickly will loose any water resistance as soon as you try to flex them. Within minutes, the clear silicon will peel off, exposing the resistor and the LEDs. Therefore, even spray could cause these to short out. These will work for the purpose I intend to use them for, but I was disappointed that the words flexible and waterproof were used together. Its either/or. just and FYI

Fantastic buy, adhered to my boat under the gunnel and attached it to my on board dimmer, works great... Glad I bought one with a dimmer prior to this purchase because it came with a direct battery connection only. With my dimmer previously installed I am allowed to turn it off and on or dim it with the remote control. If you would like this function and I recommend it, get the remote dimmer and connect bothe strips, one on each side of the boat and you will light up the lake!!!

Good product, use it for deck lighting on my boat. I ordered a remote for this product and it didn't work out of the package. I read reviews and it seems that it is hit or miss on the remotes if they work or not. These light are very bright and I am very satisfied with them as well as the price.

These are super bright, BUT CANNOT BE SHORTENED!

Well let me explain... you can make them shorter. However the entire top surface of these is covered in clear rubber, so whatever you don't use by shortening them is entirely wasted!

I mean, that's great if I need exactly fifteen feet of green lights, but I need a bunch of green strips, so I'm having to send this product back.

Not sure if my application was the problem or the lights, I encased the lights in a clear PVC tube and submerged them. No Water got in but on the second night all the lights burnt out. Not sure what caused it but was a waste of two strands of lights. Dont think I'd buy them again.
