Like others have said, these "bars" shouldn't be labeled as such. They don't crumble when you open them; they are crumbled before you ever buy the box! None of the other varieties I buy have this problem. I wouldn't say this is just a poorly-made batch either, as I have purchased a box of these twice, many months apart.

Kashi really needs to improve their recipe or just sell this variety in little pouches instead. I don't mind crumbled granola at all, but the bar packaging is no good for that. And as you're expecting a bar inside, you might tear the package all the way open only to see granola fall all over the place.

As far as the taste, they're okay. It's not a favorite by a longshot, but I don't think these are as bad as everyone is saying. I feel like the poor consistency and bad experience with the crumbliness that ensues may have negatively impacted others' opinions of the flavor. The ginger is definitely strong, but that's just how ginger is. You should expect this to taste of ginger the same way you'd expect a sandwich with raw onions to taste of onion.

This bar is absolutely horrid tasting. Don't waste your money. The previous reviwer sums it up perfectly. I too just tried this bar and it was so bad I am writing this review literally within minutes of my first taste. I love kashi bars and cereals but not this one! Will probably be off the market very soon.

I gave this one star because its impossible to give zero or negative stars. This is the first time I've ever reviewed a product and I did so within 5 minutes of putting this putrid mess in my mouth. Firstly, I am a big fan of Kashi products. I have tried and mostly enjoyed at least half a dozen of their granola bars and a few of their dry cereals. This particular product was highly disappointing. As soon as I opened the packet, the "bar" began to fall apart. I don't mean it cracked into a few pieces like some granola bars, but literally it crumbled both in clumps and individual seeds. Due to the sticky nature of chewy granola bars, this makes cleaning up the mess even worse. The taste was a bit unappealing as well. The ginger flavor overpowered every other flavor in the bar. I would definitely steer away from this product, but Kashi products as a whole have been pretty good.

The bar absolutely disintegrates upon opening the package,,, the ginger is strong, I wouldn't buy again
