I ordered the Tesla compression shirt as a base layer for cool weather running. I've used and washed it several times over the last month since I received it so it's had a fair bit of use, Which is how I like to write all my reviews.

-I am happy with the fit and the performance primarily.
It fit very well and did it's job in keeping me warmer on those cooler days going into winter in North Dakota. Wearing it, a tee shirt, a hoody and hat kept me plenty warm during a windy run with temps in the mid-low 30s (Fahrenheit).

-Of lesser importance, I like the look as well.
The contrasting color of the piping and low turtle neck gives it a look that I am very happy with. And with 32 colors (!) to choose from, it's very likely that you will find one that you like.

-On a negative note...
The stitching has begun to come undone at the base of the shirt and if left alone, the whole bottom will begin to come apart. I follow proper washing procedures (a large number of defective products are due to "operator error") so regardless of the low cost of these shirts, this is not acceptable at all to me therefore the three stars. I will raise my rating to four stars if I can get a replacement and the shirt lasts longer and I will give five stars if it lasts a year or longer in good repair.

Overall, I am very happy with the Tesla Compression Shirt and will buy again if mine is replaced with one that lasts longer before falling apart. If not, I will buy elsewhere.

I received an e-mail from Tesla about this issue just a short time after writing this review. To be very clear... I didn't contact them in any way about it, they only knew because they monitor comments about their product. That is very impressive.Read more ›

These do fit tight. The material is thinner than the equivalent Under Armor product. I'm 5'8", 165lbs, 32" waist and 44" chest. I think the medium will "relax" a little bit and fit me more as I like after a few more washings, but if you're any bigger than me, you need to go up a size. I have several of these shirts and 3/4 length companion training pants that I do yoga in and use as drag suits in the pool. They have held up well and represent a stylish, great value compared to other brands like Nike or Under Armor. I like the mock neck collar; it's not constricting and it's a nice protective layer when I wear them under my motorcycle leathers to keep my neck from chaffing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I haven't had them long enough to really assess durability over time. I'll update if necessary.

Great item. Came with a few spots on it but they washed out ok. Contacted seller and they compensated me so I was satisfied. These are NOT thermals and not designed to keep you warm. They are a workout item along with the bottoms that match. I've purchased both and love them for my workout. BE SURE TO LOOK AT THE SIZE CHART!!!! Depending on what type fit you want can be determined by the size chart. I am 5'10" 175 lbs and average body type. I had to order the 2XL to get a somewhat snug fit which is what I wanted. Check the chart! I've ordered the black/green version also and am very happy. You will too IF you follow the size chart. (Yes I said it 3 times)

As advertised, excellent moisture wicking properties. Be advised though, if you are looking for a base layer to add any kind of warmth, these are not the right ones for you. The seller makes no claims toward that, but just thought I would add it since they do look so similar to the ones that wick moisture and keep you warm. These are perfect for warmer climates to take advantage of the moisture wicking and uv protection. They fit as expected when following the seller's sizing recommendations.

Only thing I wasn't prepared for is the stitching of the red lines to be on the inside of the shirt. However, after wearing it for a 9 mile hike with a 20 lb pack, I absolutely love it. I didn't notice the feeling of the inside stitching after the first minute or so. When the cool wind blew, it helped keep me comfortable. Conversely, when I started sweating the shirt pulled the sweat off of me causing it to evaporate quickly and cool me down.

These shirts look cool, and fit tight, but they uncomfortable. There is something about the material and/or the tight fit that saps the warms from my skin. So if you're looking for a shirt to keep you cool, this is good, but if you want shirt to moderate your temperature, like a regular t-shirt, then this might not be for you.

I tested it and it does cool me down in the desert while wearing fur, as long as the breeze goes through the clothing and hits it.

Like others mention, i'd buy one size up, it fits tight to the body like a sock.

The white did stain quickly which is a bummer, and i can't seem to remove the ring around the collar with my standard wash.
