Overall pleased with this purchase and delivery. We purchased two of these boxes; the red fire truck for our 2.5yo grandson and the yellow school bus for our 5yo granddaughter who started kindergarten this year. These are adorable and functional. We wrapped smaller gifts and boxed everything inside these cute storage boxes. It will be great fun to see the look on our grandkids faces on Christmas morning to discover a cool seat that holds presents and can be used again later to store toys or other things. The box sides do seem to be cardboard covered in fabric as are most fabric type boxes these days. The seat area is padded and feels like something very solid. The box has reinforcements to make it a sturdy storage box. Everything folds down and into the seat/lid which will make it an efficient way for it to be packed into the vehicle for home (or Christmas toys carried inside it) from Nana and Grandad's. Additional note: when it first arrived, I took it out of the wrapping and it looked small but it is the same dimensions as advertised. It is the same height but a little narrower and a little longer than one of my smaller banker file boxes. I can imagine it could be a fun present-box ... The box being the additional gift... to include a fireman's uniform inside for the kids that are in the dress-up stage. Or a present-box for children entering kindergarten or first grade, filled with a few school supplies, etc.
