I've been taking this product for just over a week. The first night I took it at 8pm with dinner (as directed) and by 10pm, I'll be damned. I felt something start to bubble and fizz as soon as it hit (what I am assuming) is my small intestine because my stomach felt just fine. I can honestly say I believe these capsules do make it to the intestinal tract. I've also noticed the small trace of oral thrush I've been battling for months has also cleared up. It's definitely one of the best probiotic supplements I've ever taken.

The first few days were rough. I believe the product was cleaning some garbage out of my system. I know this is not a pleasant topic to dicuss but my bowel movements had an odor that somrthing had died, rotted and was being expelled. As it has only been a few weeks I hope to be able to update the effect of the product. I'm hoping it can only get better from here. I would and do recommend the product. I hope to try other Dr Tobias products too.

Two months later - sorry it's long
I want to update my review at this time. After 2 months on the product, I love it. I have severe GERD (reflux). Symptoms of reflux that many do not associate with it are belching, passing gas well a lot of gas and bloating. I take the reflux med; I've even had a surgery for it but I bloat up and my skin feels like a balloon that is about to burst from over inflation. I'm sure many of you know that feeling.
After taking the Deep Immune for 2 months, I don't have that feeling (unless I go to a buffet and eat a little too much :-) . The probiotics must be keeping it all in the proper ratio.
My IBS is basically under control. HERE IS THE GREAT PART, I have been able to reduce the supplements I was taking; my number of prescriptions has decreased and I feel better. It feels like my body is absorbing more from the food I eat.
I will warn you that with the body absorbing better, everything including prescriptions are absorbed better. I know it might be tempting to say these are just probiotics and not advising the doctor, as they recommend, but please do. Just as your body may not be absorbing nutrients from food, you may not be absorbing all of the medication and need to, or as I'm happy about, lower the dosage or discontinue it.Read more ›

They are very easy to swallow firstly and secondly, unlike a lot of other probiotics I have taken, they do not nauseate me or cause gas. Then, my pooch has flattened out a bit which leads me to the last bit and this might be TMI so beware, I know that they are working because I can see the candida that had clearly overgrown in me hence the bloat floating in the bowel after each elimination. That is the one thing that I always look for in a probiotic because it shows me that the bacteria are alive and in fighting spirit and for the first time in a very long time, I found that one thing in this line so, I will be sticking with it :)

I have had severe digestive system issues...ulcerative colitis, duodenal ulcer, colonic inertia/lack of peristalsis...most of my adult life, starting over 40 years ago. Finally, 14 years ago, most of my large intestine was removed. Although this solved some issues, it seemed to create others. My ability to digest and absorb foods properly to get the nutritional benefit was greatly diminished and since the surgery, I have suffered years of sub-par health. A few months ago I bought some digestive enzymes and started using them daily. (I had not discovered the Dr. Tobias line of products at this time, so these were not Dr. Tobias brand enzymes...they will be next time!) I didn't notice any improvement, but I knew this would not be a "quick fix", since I had been digestively compromised for so many years. Then a few weeks ago, while trying to think of anything else I could do to support my digestive system, it dawned on me that my intestinal bacteria were probably totally out of whack from all the trauma and medications my digestive system had endured over all these years. I researched and decided on DEEP IMMUNE OPTIMUM PROBIOTICS by Dr. Tobias. When I received these, I immediately started taking them as directed and after two days got really, really sick...I mean like bedridden for 3 days! My body felt totally fatigued and toxic! LUCKILY, I am very much aware of the Herxheimer Response which happens when the body is detoxifying and the released toxins (bad bacteria) are being killed off and released faster than the body can eliminate them.
