The Clever C748 is a inexpensive, well working, well designed wireless presenter. The C748 runs on 2x AAA batteries, and connects to your PC via a small USB receiver. Using it on a Windows system, it is strictly plug-and-play. No driver software is required. I tested it on a Windows 7 system. After inserting the USB receiver, it took about 1 minute for Windows to install the drivers, and then it was good to go. The C748 is small and lightweight. It also has good ergonomics despite being small. It functions well, and the laser is bright and strong. When you're done using it, there's an on/off switch to conserve the battery, and a built-in docking bay to store the small USB receiver. A padded carrying case is also included. A nice touch. All in all, the Clever C748 is very good device that does what it's supposed to, and costs less than similar devices. It even makes a good cat toy. I recommend it.

Light-weight and ergonomically comfortable, I also appreciate the USB storage compartment, and the USB controller is simple Plug-n-Play, working with my LibreOffice as well as pretty much any Slide-Show software I can think of since it uses a universal keying code that is widely recognized by similar Windows software.

Now I can't really answer for Apple iOS, such as Macintosh or iPad, although it seems pretty clear by the manufacturer that this does not work with them.

HOWEVER!!

I did go ahead and try the USB controller on an Android tablet, Samsung Tab 3 10.1" screen, running KitKat (4.4.2), and the controller was recognized both as a mouse and a keyboard input. And yes, the clicker worked, at least with OfficePro Suite 7. From what I can tell, the UP/DOWN buttons are translated as Page Up/Page Down keystrokes, and the WINDOW SWAP is seen as a Back-Key command. So you would have to play around with presentation setup to see where the key commands lead you, but they do indeed work not only with .ppt files, but the .xsl doc I filmed because of generic Page Up & Down input.

A note about OTG (On-The-Go) use, you will need an Android device running at least Jellybean (4.2) for OTG to be recognized, but considering that anything that has come out in the past year is at least that, it shouldn't be an issue for many.

As a student, I give a lot of presentations for class. This allows me to be able to stand at the projector screen and really look professional when giving my presentations. I use Prezi for most of them, but this works not only for that, but the typical Powerpoint as well.

It does not work with Mac, but that's no issue for me, as my personal and the school's computers are PC.

It is very ergonomic, and fits in your hand unobtrusively. My teacher liked it so much, he is going to buy one, too.

I received this in exchange for an honest review.

I received the wireless presenter. I plugged the USB transmitter into my laptop and it did not load the device drivers properly. I have other USB devices that work properly. I tried three different USB ports and no success. Batteries were installed correctly and the laser pointer works. When I attempted to use the wireless pointer in laptop after starting PowerPoint, I was not able to use the product I purchased.

I attempted to save a few dollars and patronize the Amazon website because they have bargains on electronic devices. In hindsight, I should have skipped this product and paid an extra 20 dollars more for a more reliable brand.
I saw there were at least 15 reviews saying the wireless pointer failed to work or did not meet the consumers' expectations.

Awesome product for the price. Well built, feels good in your hand and connects without an issue. It was shipped with AAA batteries. However, they were DOA which wasn't a big deal since I wasn't expecting it to come with batteries in the first place. I've had presenters that cost over twice as much (Logitech) and didn't wow me like this one did.

I got this for my son because he is starting doing presentation at school so when he is doing an important presentation he has this tool to help him. It is pretty easy to use, simple plug-and-play operation. It is wireless so you don’t have cables bothering you at all. My son likes that with the remote he can flip through slides or point to without him having to return to the computer. It also has a built-in dock for the USB receiver and a compact, padded carry case. It requires 2 AAA batteries that are included and another nice feature is that it has a battery power indicator so you know that you need new batteries. It can be used by a range of up to 50 feet (15 meters) It also has a nice contoured shape. I would have no hesitation buying this item again or as a present for someone!
