One of my dogs, in particular, is very picky about his water. He won't touch it if it sits there overnight and he drinks more of it when I put filtered pitcher water into his bowl than regular tap. I thought this Pet Fountain Water & Food Bowl with water filter would be a seriously neat product to try to remedy his pickiness....and it seems to be working so far! The littlest dog is slightly intimidated by it but he is learning by watching the older dog. And the cat? He loves it! He is already fascinated with moving water so this was a hit with him.
The water fountain feels durable and it is easy to clean and has a submersible pump attached to one piece of it. There are no hard to reach crevasses. It is also very easy to upkeep. Just keep the water level up, change out the water filter every 2 months, and wash the filter regularly. There is an opaque scale on the front of the dish to show you where the water level is at with Minimum and Maximum levels (see photos). It also has a compartment to fill with pet food, if wanted. Leaving it on overnight, it worked fine and the adapter plug was barely warm. Oh, and a huge bonus is that it's super quiet! I am definitely happy about that! I think the only thing I'd ever want to change about this particular product is to make it to where, if you don't want the feeding area in it at all times, you can take it out and use that area for water as well. That would be neat. Also, I haven't found replacement filters on Amazon for it. I'm not saying they don't exist, because I don't know, I just haven't found them.
Overall, we are really loving this new addition to our pet products and it helps to get our picky dog to drink more water so it's a win-win for our family!

This pet fountain water and food bowl is amazing! The bowl arrived very quickly and was very easy to setup. It comes with 3 main pieces the white under carriage that holds the water and the water pump, also included was a filter that slides into the filter area. The blue top pieces and the food dish which is also a food scoop marked with units in cups. There is a clear see through window on the side of the unit that lights up so you can see the water level. The directions suggest to fill between the min and max lines. My cats love the, the flowing water kept my baby kitten entertained for hours. The pump is very quite so it does not bother the cats at all. The whole unit is made very well with quality materials. This is the best purchase I have made for my animals, I highly recommend this for both dogs and cats!

When it comes to the welfare of our pets, most of us go the distance to take care of them. Our cat Moo (well, she is black and white) thinks she is a dog (I am so tired of playing fetch with her). This means while she is very loving and very social, she is also high maintenance. She turns her nose up at a dish of water if it has been sitting there for a couple of hours. A single minute after I step out of the shower, I know exactly where I can find Moo - in the shower waiting for the drip from the faucet. Last month, with her second UTI in a year, the vet told us that she (our cat, that is, not the vet... waka waka!) was having urination problem because she was not drinking enough water. So rather than changing the water dish even more often than 3 times a day, we decided that it was time to get a fountain, and I think we have picked a good one.
The large capacity of the fountain not only saves us more refilling time. We are occasionally away for a few days at a time, and there were times when we couldn't line up a neighbor to cat sit. We would end up putting out multiple large bowls of water and keeping a basin in the bath tub filled as well, and still worrying whether she was drinking her water. With the 3 liter capacity of this fountain, it is no longer a problem.
I particularly like the fact that this fountain has a filter. When I first started looking for a fountain I assumed that all models used filters. Not so for the cheap ones. This model uses a standard filter that you can buy from pet store, and Amazon of course. It looks like one of those fish tank filters that I used to stick in the circulation pump when the young me was keeping and killing goldfish.Read more ›

I love my Oxgord Pet water fountain bowl. I love that I don't have to fill the bowl multiple times a day every day! The food bowl makes for a great scoop for my pets food, since they are messy eaters I just leave it empty and use it when I need to fill the food bowls. I love that it is a large bowl for the water to fountain into and the design is perfect for it to flow back down. The water continuously cycles through and goes through a filter so my pets always have clean fresh water. My pets now drink even more water then they did when they had a regular bowl; in my opinion that is because with this they are continuously getting fresh clean water! There is a great clear slot on the front of the water holding bowl with indicators of how much water you want in the bowl. (You want to keep atleast 1.2L and at most 3L of water in the bowl at all times!) The motor secures tightly into the top lid and is made for water so you don't have to worry about anything happening to your pets safety wise! I have had mine continuously running for close to a month now and have had no issues! I will need to replace my filter soon, so I recommend buying atleast 1 extra filter when you purchase this to save you rushing to Amazon to buy one after your filter is past due for changing. Both of my pets absolutely love this bowl. My cat also uses it as a toy; she will try to stop / catch the water before it goes down the spout to cycle through. She hasn't managed to stop the water from going down but she tries every day for hours. My baby also loves to splash in it the water bowl and tries to catch the water; I don't mind since he doesn't have full access to all of the water he can't make a huge mess with the water!
