We love these in our home. They provide a lovely shabby chic look and are largely black so they don't show a lot of dirt or wear that you often get with placemats with a lot of white on them. They are a lot larger than I was expecting though. They do clearly provide measurements but all of the previous placemats I had encountered in homes had been much smaller so it came as a surprise when they arrived, but I think the added size is great as it provides space for cutlery and a glass.

My only complaint, and the reason that I rated it 4-stars instead of 5, is that I'm already noticing that the corners are starting to peel off a little bit after only 1-2 months of use. I think 2 of them came this way, and it is super minor, but as a perfectionist it does kind of bother me. I think it will take years before it becomes an issue though, so I would definitely not view this complaint as a reason against purchasing this beautiful product.

Aesthetically pleasing but not waterproof. This product is not laminated so you need to wipe any spills immediately upon contact with the placemat. Defeats the purpose of a placemat, so disappointed.

Very disappointed in the quality of these mats. The white portion is very yellowed, not white by any means. It's almost as if cheap, thin paper was glued over the top and the cork is showing through, causing the discoloration. I kept them because they are for everyday use on our casual glass top table and with three toddlers in our house nothing lasts very long anyway.

We are so disapointed in our mats! Just setting a glass with ice tea on them, when it sweats a little bit the paint comes off and it makes a worn spot on them..The smallest movement causes small marks on them and again the print comes off.We would never recommend nor buy them again. Mind you only Adults use the mats.They are good at staying in one place and not moving, that is the only positive point we can make..Thank-You..Wayne and Margie

Really like these placemats. Matte finish and good quality. I don't understand why the price kept changing. Went back and forth from $8 and change to $24.99 and every price in between. I got them for $10 and change. Just before Christmas they stayed at $24.99.
