I don’t know exactly how far away you can see, but it’s pretty far. I used them to look at the lunar eclipse last night and I got a really good view. They do say they are day and night vision, which is technically true, but if you are looking for a pair that have the green looking night vision, these are not them. When I used them at night, I was able to see as clearly as when I was looking during the day.
They are lightweight, but they are not cheap. They are pretty solidly built and all of the moving parts work smoothly without having to apply much force.
You move the eye pieces together or apart until you can see what you are looking at through one circle. If you can see the object two times (meaning that you can see it out of each eye piece) you don’t have them aligned right. They do come with instructions so it will walk you through it. You then move the middle knob and the one knob on the right eye piece until the object is in focus. If you have never really used binoculars (like myself... but my boyfriend loves using them) then they will take a little time to get used to all the adjusting.
It also comes with a neck strap so you won’t lose them, which is great for me. I tend to set things down and then forget where they are. Overall, we like these and are happy that I got them. I received this item free/discounted in exchange for my honest review.

30x60 means 30 power - not true as in the description. Came in a box marked 8x. When compared to a 12x binoculars; not close. Markings on binoculars are "30*60" not 30x60.. Typical chinese BS. Am planning to return.

Pretty good - my 11 year old grandson will enjoy them. Don't know about the 30x60, though. Under normal circumstances that would mean 30 power with a 60 mm objective (the front lens) diameter. More realistic is 6x20 (I measured the objective at 20 mm, and estimated the 6 power by eye). For $16.00, it's a bargain, but who knows about a company that spells binocular as "bionocular." If the parameters were honestly written,I'd rate it higher than 3 stars.

I just received this item today and when I opened the box and pulled out the binoculars, one of the lenses fell out immediately. it looks like it wasn't glued in properly. while I know these aren't high quality binoculars, I was disappointed it broke so quickly.

These are great for bird watching. They are really small and fit easily into any size pocket. I thought they would provide night vision but they don't. Still a great little bionocular. I am sure they will be good at the opera or play. They come with a nice little cloth bag and a neck strap.

Why would you buy a product from a manufacturer who so clearly misrepresents the specs of their product? These 30x60 binoculars are at best 6x20. Its not a mistake they know people buy by numbers.

Very impressive for the money; I use them on the golf course and they are very clear and easy to use. The glasses compare with a $200 set my buddy has up to 250 yards.
