This flask is almost like the hydro flask.
Reasons why are listed below.
Powdercoat chips easier than the HF. It is durable none the less and for the price you can't expect it to be EXACTLY like the HF.
Stainless grade is the same as the HF and I haven't had any rust issues or degradation to account for.
Included cap is water TIGHT TIGHT. After filling with ice and water the cap will "suction" shut and when trying to open it you will have to pry the cap off to break the suction. No water leaks out through the rubber seal and it is water tight.
As a comparison the HF cap unscrews easily with out any struggle BUT there is always a slight amount of water that has seeped through the seal in the cap. I'm assuming this is due to a non-watertight seal on the HF cap.
Caps are interchangeable with the HF caps. I used a HF flip top cap on this and it fits without any issues. I have also used the twist on cap from the fifty fifty on my HF and it fits no problem as well. That is besides the "suction" issue if you want to consider that as a problem
For the price as compared to the HF I would definitely buy the fifty fifty flask again as the quality is great for what you pay. Not to mention the plethora of color choices is a huge plus.

I loved this bottle but can't say I'd buy it again. It kept my water and or beer nice and cold for long periods of time but then the issue began to surface as I lived with it. First off the band holding the lid breaks no matter what. My friend has the same bottle and when his broke I began being very careful not to hold it or secure it by the band hoping that would keep it from wearing through. No such luck and replacement lids are 10 a pop with a life span of three months or so of regular use. Also the band around the cap that is to serve as a grip becomes loose such that you have to remove it altogether to open and close it properly. All this I could live with, but then the cap started to fall apart and drop bits of plastic into my water. The bottle is great, the cap is terrible and could use a redesign to match the quality of the product overall. I hope Fifty/Fifty hear these customer complaints and act on them because it is the only problem I have with this container.

We have both. I bought the 40oz Hydro at $37. The 50/50 40oz is about 40% cheaper. They both work well. Minor differences: Hydro has a smoother coating. Finish on the Hydro was a little better. The 50/50 had some overspray or under-spray near the opening which did not affect performance. The 50/50 has what appears to be a rough weld on the the dimple on the bottom (all 3 of ours have it). The Hyrdo looks flawless on the bottom. On a scale, the 50/50 40oz measured half an ounce heavier than the Hyrdo 40oz.

Main differences: The Hydro cost more...about 40% as mentioned above. The Hydro comes with a lifetime warranty from failure or defects...not from drops. But, from what I have heard and read, their warranty is awesome. 50/50 warranty is one year. Are you paying extra only for an "extended warranty"? Only time will tell. A few weeks in so far so good. If I remember, I'll give a long term review.

I put ice up to the top and it took 36 hours to completely melt! That's better than my Hydro flask (yea the creators divorced and Fifty Fifty is basically the same thing with a different name and caps) but it really does seem better than my Hydro flask brand! I love the Olive color, couldn't find it here but had good luck at a local Kiosk in Sam's club display. I feel like hydroflask makes you pay higher for vibrant colors and styles but Fifty Fifty is just as good and cost less, so to me that's more appealing!

It keeps water and ice VERY cold but the rubber seal in the cover keeps getting loose. Also when I fly with it the seal sticks and gets stuck so I have to pry open the cover instead of twisting it open.

I bought this the same day that I bought several other Nalgene-style bottles (there was a good sale) and this one is by far my favorite. Like it promises it keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. I'm a little picky about my drinking water temperature so I love that I can count on it to keep my beverages the temperature I like. I like the 40 ounce size, and I like the rugged design. The only bad thing about it is that it's fairly heavy for a water bottle. Also, make sure you always close the lid all the way! I got lazy once and just screwed it on halfway only to have my pink lemonade leak out all over the my car mat. I'd buy it again though--in a heartbeat!

This is the BEST water bottle ever!! I love that it is the EXACT same thing as the Hydro Flask, but more affordable. I can put ice water in this and still have cold water two days later. I will never go back to another water bottle again.

Awesome bottle. Keeps things cool or hot and has a good lid I haven't had leak.
Same design as the hydro flask so all their accessories should work, as well as the Nalgene wide mouth caps. I've replaced the cap with the humangear capcap and love it.
