Wow. I was surprised by the amazing quality and the size of these bags. I wanted to use them for a craft project and I was a bit hesitant about the size. Some can be quite small, but this is a genuine GREEN shopping bag - you can fit a lot of groceries in there. And they look freaking amazing now that I've sewn my designs onto them. I ordered three sets of three. And I just ordered 5 sets of 3. I am so thrilled.

Great bags, I ordered 6 and will be ordering 6 more soon.

Update: September 9, 2014: Well, I should have known better than to right a review so soon. I just washed one of these bags in cold water and it shrank, I mean really shrank! Not to mention it was a wrinkled mess and lost it's body. Had to spray starch and iron it. If you don't plan on ever washing these bags they are great, but if you want a bag you can wash, I would not recommend these. I'll be looking for something to replace them, but with the way fabrics are made these days I fear there isn't anything out there.

These are good reusable grocery bags (12.5"x 13.5"x 6"). However, they do not make it through the wash, and are not as durable as canvas totes I've gotten at the grocery store. They are only slightly sturdier than muslin cloth. Picture shown is after ONE wash (standard paperback included for scale).

One of the reasons I buy cotton canvas shopping bags is because they are washable, it is not hygienic to keep using a bag for food and not wash it. So I was extremely disappointed at how these bags washed. I washed in cold water on gently cycle and now they look like tissue paper.

Love these for hauling things around. We've used ours for camping and lake days. They dry quickly and fit everything we need. I do wish they were a bit bigger so we could use them for more things. Currently we can fit two towels and sunscreen and what not. Once Baby comes along we are going to have some issues.... haha. Still - very nice bags and worth the purchase!

Cotton? yes. Correct size? yes. After that I am not sure how these bags got such a high average review as they are not what they claimed to be. The stitching is terrible and each stitch is huge, I doubt it will last long (I have been sewing for 20 years). I would not consider the fabric to be "canvas". The threads of the fabric are nearly thick enough to be considered canvas, but not quite. In addition to being too thin threads are very loosely woven giving the fabric a feel and thickness of rough muslin. Very disappointed as I wanted CANVAS bags, not coarse cotton bags.
