Okay, a little hokey as far as the storyline, but I figured it would be going in. But those two. OMG, they are hilarious. They played off of each other so well and complimented each other with their own unique humor style. I would recommend this movie just for the belly laugh.

"You don't have to like me, but I'm the best chance you have of surviving." Cooper (Witherspoon) is a strict by-the-book police officer who tries her best at everything, often leading to disaster. When she is told she must escort Daniella Riva (Vergara) to Dallas in order for her to testify she is excited about finally getting a real job. Things immediately change and now her and Daniella are fugitives and it is up to Cooper to expose what is going on and keep Daniella safe. I wasn't really looking forward to this because I am not a Sofía Vergara fan at all. I was expecting something that tries to hard to be funny, like her but falls flat and is boring. I got something in the middle. The movie was much funnier than I expected, but on the other hand is nothing all that amazing and I thought The Heat was better. This is a movie that isn't a bad watch and is something you can put in and laugh at without having to think too much. Every once in a while that is a needed thing. Overall, better than I expected and I did laugh quite a bit. A good choice for a movie when all you want is to relax and be entertained by. I give it a B.

Cooper (Reese Witherspoon) is a "hyper-focus" policewoman. She is allowed to leave the evidence locker to escort a reluctant high value witness (Sofía Vergara) to Dallas. Circumstances causes their plans to go awry and they become on the run, trying to avoid both criminals and cops who want them dead.

The movie is cute, but not an over powering comedy. The jokes get old fast such as Sofia's age and Witherspoon's height. Sofia wear a shirt which says "Butter my Biscuits" for much of the film while Reese boasts a red dress. They shared a kissing scene and a cat fight because that is what the writers had to stoop to to get laughs. The film had potential as Reese got to use a full southern accent, but the script flopped.

Guide: F-bomb in soundtrack. No sex or nudity.

Laughed out loud movie! Loved the characters. Reese Witherspoon is clearly in the Meryl Streep category for female actors. And Sophia Vergara showcased her comedic talents but also a more serious side as well. Loved the story, loved the acting, loved the movie!

This was a fast paced piece of light, humorous fluff.

I actually thought I was going to hate it but it honestly is not as bad as some reviews indicated.

Part of the surprise for me was the way the two characters played off each other. Mainly, Reese Witherspoon's character.

I did not expect her to play a nerdy TYPE A personality role, so that made my expectations about the movie a bit better once the film got rolling.
It is one of those movies you can pass some time with and better to do so when this is offered for FREE on Amazon.

Reese is a great actress when put into roles that are better suited for her.

Sofia is eye candy and the extent of her acting abilities remains unknown because she has basically been typecast as the sexy latino in all that she does; be it movies or film.

One plus of watching this film was when it was over, I was checking out what else Reese has done and I ended up REWATCHING Reese's first film ever, a great made for TV movie called WILDFLOWER.

It came out in 1991- with Beau Bridges and Patricia Arquette.
Reese is young but a very good actress in this. It is her film debut.

I never heard of Reese before Legally Blonde but now I know she was acting long before making Legally Blonde.
I believe WILDFLOWER may be FREE at the moment to PRIME SUBSCRIBERS.

But even if it is not, it is well worth paying to see Wildflower.

(Wildflower is a * Based on a Book movie*. It is a retro period piece that harkens back to the Depression era, it a human interest story that covers the 1930's, family dynamics, abuse,handicaps/disability. Despite this list of downer topics, it is a most uplifting movie)

Two of my favorite comedic actresses, a great set-up.... but was very disappointed. The story starts out simple and promising. The premise is passable faire... but alas it wasn't to be.

Sadly the chemistry between the two is forced and not very natural. I would say the pairing initially looked interesting when I first saw the previews for Hot Pursuit. However it just wasn't that great.

I love the show "Modern Family" and I really like Reese Witherspoon in so many comedies but its just weird and disappointing how they just don't work well together on screen. The pacing of the story and the supporting actors both sort of flop as well.

There are good comedic moments at least during the film. However its just not enough. I tried to watch it a second time hoping that maybe the first time I was just not in the mood or something. It was painful and I didn't laugh very much. I had just watched "This Means War" and was inspired to watch another comedy with Reese Witherspoon... I should have watched something else of hers.

Not so bad that it is a one star, as again there are moments. My favorite scene is when Reese plays a male reminiscent of Justin Beiber. Otherwise, I wish I would have spent my money on something else.
