I have high standards when it comes to Bluetooth headsets. I own two Plantronics Voyager Edges which I purchased from Amazon. I use them in my business for regular calls on my phone and Skype call on my PC. I also stream music and list to Audible books on it regularly. Many reviews on both Amazon and tech bloggers consider the Voyager Edge as being among the BEST OF THE BEST. And they each cost 4x what this one I'm review costs.

I felt compelled to disclose the seller because the product he is selling looks very much like another Plantronics product called the Voyager Legend, which according to my contacts at Plantronics is very similar to the Edge in terms of its internal engineering.

None of that fazed him.

So here we go: My review of the the very generic sounding "Bluetooth V4.0 Wireless HD Stereo Headset"

My first impressions is that when I opened the box were positive. I picked it up and was impressed that there's nothing flimsy or cheap feeling about it. It is well put together and the physically it feels the way it should. The boom, ear piece and main body containing all the battery and brain that goes behind your ear is a good deal of flex it to. You can position everything so that fits your facial contours.

This is a very stylish, modern looking Bluetooth V4.0 Wireless HD Stereo Headset with a separate microphone. The microphone actually booms out about 3”, like the headsets I am used to. The microphone boom will swivel up and down or rotate so you can find the best position. The microphone employees noise cancellation so that you eliminate echo and background noise.

The Bluetooth Headset will operate with Apple or Android operating systems and it will operate with any other Bluetooth transmitter. The audio reception is excellent.

Pairing up is very easy and once paired up the Bluetooth Headset will remember the device it was last paired with. You can pair up two Smart Phones at the same time.

The ear piece fits very comfortably and snug over the ear. There is a multi-function button on the mike boom and the volume up/down next/last selection is behind the ear piece.

The packaging is very well done – giving you a feeling that you are a superior product. It comes with a micro USB to USB charging cord and additional earbuds.

I tested it both for taking cellphone calls and for listening to music. The sound quality was excellent for both functions. I set the volume very low and the sound was crisp and clear. I could have increased the volume but it would have been too loud.

Very stylish, fits comfortably and sounds great. A high quality Bluetooth Headset at a very nice price.

I was provided a sample at a substantial price reduction for testing/review purposes.

Been using my BlueFit Bluetooth for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. The only problem is that it doesn't allow the search feature to work in the contacts on my iPhone 6. The sound is totally clear and the volume is more than loud enough. I've had several Plantronics bluetooths in the past and lucky if I get a full years use out of them. The BlueFit is a much better value for the price compared to any of other bluetooths that I have purchased.

For the money its pretty good. I did get a bad one at first but Amazon made it easy to return and sent a replacement right out, the new one works great. I have used Plantronics in the past and this one is pretty close to a $80 plantronics legend. We will se how it does long term. I like the usb charger better than the magnet with the Plantronics.

Here is what you need to know about this device

Positives (+)

* It comes with Bluetooth 4.0, which is fairly recent although not the most up to date, and is therefore fairly conservative on power consumption. From my experiences, this headset will get close to the 6 hours as advertised. The advertised charging time is just as correct as is the standby time.

* This ear peace is equally compatible with both ears, so that is great for people who prefer to listen to such electronic peripherals with their favored ear. It is fairly easy to adjust depending on which ear the user wishes to use. Simply rotate the microphone first followed by the pole for whichever direction you choose.

* Call quality is fantastic. I used it on the first day that I got it, and there were no problems whatsoever for the party on the other end of the line. Likewise, I could hear the opposite person with a high level of audibility and without the need to adjust the volume. The same can be said about listening to music. All sound came through perfectly. Fidelity was remarkably good for such a small item; this item does make a good listening device.

*Micro USB port. Ease of access is good. Having used all manner of devices that require micro USB port for charging, I have had my fair share of devices with annoying flaps that require you to pry them with your finger nails in order to make room for for a micro USB cable. Not so, in this case. Granted, it means it is more susceptible to dirt, but I think the benefit by and large out weighs the costs.

* One size fits all retainer - This is never the best solution for earpieces because this approach can not cater to every ear size and shape out there.Read more ›
