My eye doctor told me I had dry eyes and should put drops in them. When I looked in the mirror, the red rims around each eye told me the same story. I did try several free samples from doctor, but they felt like a foreign substance in my eyes.

Refresh Optive Sensitive preservative-free eye drops were the latest free samples I got, and surprisingly they didn't bother me. Whatever irritating chemicals were in other eye drops seem to be absent from these.

I like the tiny squeezable single-use capsules. Sometimes I get two uses out of one capsule, but I always throw the capsule away at the end of the day, since there are no preservatives.

My nearest pharmacy is a creepy place, so it's nice to be able to get the drops from Amazon.

If you have trouble tolerating eye drops, as I do, you might give these a try.

My eye surgeon strongly recommends these drops for use during the day (as well as Refresh Celluvisc at night, but those have too much of a temporary blurring after-effect to be safe for driving). I have been very satisfied with them. The "single-use" vial actually has a cap that can be replaced, and I have found that two applications spaced an hour or so apart are more effective (less spillage) than using the entire vial at once. I know that this is contrary to the manufacturer's recommendations, but with care I think the risk of contamination is minimal. My only problem is with the shipping and handling charge - at $5 it makes the mail order option the same cost or more expensive that our local drugstores. I would advise everyone to comparison shop locally before ordering.

I like this product a great deal. It is not as thick as Refresh Celluvisc drops (which are good but so thick you lose decent vision for about 3 minutes) and it has helped the dryness, itching, and sandy feeling in my eyes.

I've tried many different brands of eye drops and these are the ones that work best for me. They were recommended by my eye specialist. They feel very soothing and it's also great that they're preservative free.

A few months ago I had cataract operations and needed an eye drop for occasional dryness. Tried several but they gave me worse vision for a period of time as they left a "oily" film to look through. These eyedrops are GREAT. No oily film, your vision remains the same and the dryness is immediately alleviated. The fact that they come in individual single use containers is very convenient. If you are going somewhere you can just put a couple of the capsules in your pocket and you have them in case your eyes need them. Highly recommend these eye drops.

I was given 2 boxes of samples from my optometrist and on occasion either use these eye drops or the theratears eyedrops. Both seem to work fine for me but you have to invert the Optive Sensitive eyedrops before squeezing them out of the vials for they take quite long to drop into your eyes if you do not. A drawback for me while using these eyedrops would be from the crust that forms when I wake up in the morning whereas with the theratears, this does not occur. Overall, they do relieve the dryness but I would definitely boast more about Optive Sensitive if they figure out how to stop the crust from forming later the next morning. If that doesn't bother consumers you should see if this product is something that will work for your dry eyes.

I may not have the driest eyes in the world...but I am right up there with the top 10 sufferers. I even go to an ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of dry eyes.

My doctor told me I had an extreme case of dry eyes, which will become dryer as I age. He prescribed an eye gel, (prescription - not over-the-counter), to use before I go to bed at night. These drops work very well but leave my eyes and lashes too sticky to use during the day. So I use "Optive Sensitive Preservative-Free Lubricant Eye Drops," (single use vials), frequently each day. The number of vials you use depends on how dry your eyes are. The Optive drops are sufficient to prevent my eyes from drying up. And yes, using many vials can cost "money," but no amount of money can replace your eyes.

It is also important to buy the individual containers, the single use vials, of these, (or any), drops. The individual vials are preservative free and usually last for 2 applications.

Now...about the price! These are not cheap. Each box contains a coupon which is for $3.00 off the next purchase. I came to the conclusion, after my bad episode with the cornea scratch, that to protect my eyes there is no price too high to pay.

I highly recommend this product. It really has helped me.

I have ultra-sensitive eyes -- most drops seem to cause problems (redness, itching,etc.). Not these!

After having cataract surgery, I developed dry eyes, so my surgeon recommended using lubricant drops. I've tried several, and some work OK. These, however, seem to work the best of any I've tried. No allergy issues, and they keep my eyes from feeling like I have sand in them.

Definitely recommend!
