Needed to remove fuel from tractors etc. so wanted something that would be a true gravity siphon rather than a squeeze pump. I was a little uneasy about the "bypass" siphon on this model but it worked perfectly plus have I the ability to squeeze pump transfer with the same device if needed. The bypass clamp was easy to manipulate with one hand and the hose was plenty long enough to go from the tractor tank opening to my fuel can. The squeeze bulb moves a good amount of fuel so it went into gravity mode very quickly. I would suggest a hard case instead of the bag if you can find it that way. I grew up using the cut water hose and mouth siphoning technique and I could still do it if needed but this is way better:-)

The problem I had was trying to get a gravity flow going. I tried to get it going too many times to count. I made sure that the bypass pinch valve was closed before I started squeezing the bulb, and yes, the bulb was well below the fuel source. Once the flow started, I released the pinch valve but for whatever reason, it would not start flowing on its own. Believe me, I tried the same procedure over and over but to no avail. So, I had to manually transfer 5 gallons of gas into a container. I would have give it 5 stars if the gravity flow had worked. One other note, the directions mentioned a brass weight that was supposed to be included to be used in place of the semi-rigid line but that was not part of the package.

Haven't had a"need" yet, but tried it out in the sink. Works great, and made well. Good company, great Son !
